Well that was rubbish wasn’t it! Less than 14 chips, no room to swing a cat and we should have won by 5!

Thought when Pearce went off we'd struggle a bit with a makeshift back 5 of a left back, a centre back, a right back, a central midfielder and a winger, but all credit to the lads, we made the team top of the league look incredibly ordinary

Great result, fantastic atmosphere. Job has to be Jackson’s.

Decent little run of games now before we play Plymouth again too
  • Outstanding performance all round

Famewo was an absolute rock at the back of Defence, was a little worried when Pearce went off, especially as it resulted in Plymouth's best spell of the game but Gunter did his job well.

Felt first half we did really well, but a bit like Burton last week I thought we were a bit fart with no substance.

Also thought that we'd be made to rue that first period as expected Plymouth to improve massively in the second period - All credit to Jackson though to set out a game plan to ensure we kept control.

Fair play as well to Washington, was invisible until the break, but had a stormer of a second, not to mention his calm finish as fully expected him to square it to Burstow.
I thought DJ was superb as well, another player who looks like a new signing under Jackson, same as Dobson does.
  • What a difference from a few weeks ago! Great performance.

Solid result, the little run continues and we are now the dark horses in the League
  • Absolutely quality, everyone was class today.

Yeah was excellent as a wing-back today, although was back struggling to get his cross beyond the first man a bit today.
  • Royal oak buzzing. Got my celebrational pint with steal my sunshine on the speakers. Great result. Not perfect but we were the better team which against top of the league opposition shows that we have a team that is very competitive in this league. Oh Johnny Jackson's runs the team for me!

Well… find something to moan about from that one!

Really really excellent performance. Best at the Valley since we did Luton 3-1 in 2019. That was the day I knew we would get promoted that season. More of the season to go after today but if we can somehow keep this up who do you see stopping us?

DJ was a man possessed and I called Purnnaldo at the far post at halftime.

Not really fair to single out any individuals, it was such a team effort - they certainly left it all out there. As Jacko said, if we out work teams we’ll have more quality than most and that showed today with that absolutely sublime assist from Lee for Washington’s goal.

I’m absolutely buzzing after watching that.

I couldn’t make it today but the boys are there.

Their view of the performance and ground atmosphere was ‘unbelievable’.

  • Good game, thoroughly deserved win.

Thought we were the better side fit the first half hour but misses Stockley as he could have got on the end of one of the crosses from DJ.

Then they had a good 15 mins or so and we were a bit lucky not to concede, good save from McG, and a couple of last ditch tackles.

But second half we were so much the better team, the energy was quality, the final ball was better too, we were unlucky not to have a couple more, maybe.

Dobson was quality again, Lee is a very good player for League One too.  Pearce played really well until he went off too, we need another CB in Jan of we're going to keep playing 3 at the back, given the injuries there.

You know what....We could still win the league. I don't see many teams beating us

Not too bad, fell awkwardly on his leg end of first half, came back out but was struggling a bit and went back down on it a few mins into the second half. Ice and a scan and they'll take it from there, if he's strained something I imagine it'll be a few weeks out at most

    The complete team performance.

Having seen every game I still think Rotherham are the best side we have played.

Plymouth I think will fall away as I didn't see anything to warrant the run they have been on.

What a team! They are playing for each other. A dominant performance by Charlton.
    It’s what Plymouth do best

That felt like a comfortable win.  The team has really gelled (still would like a decent striker in Jan tho 😉). We’re on the up.  And btw we’ve got our Fiiiiish back

The biggest worry for me now is that if Sandgaard commits footballing suicide amd gives the job to somebody else. We already know he’s a bit of a maverick and won’t worry about doing his own thing if his ego tells him to, the concern is that if he did he could kill dead all this monmemtum in one hit. Fingers crossed he sees sense and does the right thing
