I am now more convinced than ever. Whatever "it" is, Jacko has it. Give him the job and ride the wave.
If I may slightly temper things - four of our guys, at the final whistle, dropped right to their haunches immediately. I don't know if that will prove to be our undoing come, say, March - but it was clear we were giving more than our all.
To be pressing in the 86th minute(!!!!) is both awesome and potentially a bit worrying.
But... if we can keep it up, I can't see anything other than a huge tilt at promotion.23 -
That one goal conceded given the teams that we've faced is staggering.stoneroses19 said:

He was waiting outside while they interviewed Orville for the manager's post. Here's a shot of him in Makro earlier:ValleyGary said:God, why was Neil Harris there today?

Even our back room staff/management can be that stupid........can they?ValleyGary said:God, why was Neil Harris there today?2 -
It has to be said, if Plymouth can go 16 games unbeaten, why can't we? The major difference is we won't have to play us on the 17th game.18

JJ Should be the new manager and only a total idiot should not see his amazing natural ability
he is a massive asset to CAFC 👍👍👍👍4 -

Well if that doesn’t bring a few supporters back nothing will, the team performance, the crowd, that was a glimpse of the past today!!, and seeing Tracey leaburn tunnel jump, brought a little tear to my eye because that’s as close to my Charlton back I’ve felt for a very long time. Not singling out any one man on the pitch today as they all deserve the credit. I’m treating myself to a lovely warm custard to dip my nether regions in tonight with much pride and purpose!!!😂 COYRS!!!!!!!!!!!11

Cracking afternoon - considering our injurues at the back we were pretty solid. We should have scored more...2

Pleased for Sandgaard, he wanted to see the Valley rocking and he got it.
He witnessed what Jacko means to the fans, the players and the entire football club, he should act tonight.8 -
Outstanding, just outstanding. What a great day, first game back for ages and I loved it. Jacko and the boys were great.Feels silly but had a tear in my eye when Washington scored. Just felt great to be back at they valley with a crowd like that, away fans included. Watching football at The Valley when it’s like that is one of the things I love most.Give Jackson the job.37

Could have had a couple more today and maybe 3 or 4 more in first half if Stockley was there to get on the end of the numerous corners and crosses that peppered their box first halfhoof_it_up_to_benty said:Cracking afternoon - considering our injurues at the back we were pretty solid. Plymouth are going to be delighted when they realise they play us again in a month.12

Just amazing. What else can you say.
Well..one thing you can say, Thomas...give Johnnie the job. He deserves it and his players think the same.
What a great day 🔴⚪!!4 -

PWR (as I have only just got back & waiting at the chippy) so will post more later.
Best game in ages. Maybe even better than Donny play off match.
Will be eating humble pie with my chips....

Winning is Brilliant.Offering a contract to Jacko would be even better.8

Like some Plymouth fans pre-match, he took one look at the league table this morning and chalked up an easy win for the away side.1StevieG said:Chris Sutton on five live commenting on Plymouth losing “Of all the teams to lose to they lose to Charlton”. Shows he knows f all.
We are a different animal now and should fear no-one. If only we hadn’t wasted the first quarter of the season, I firmly believe we’d be right in the mix.

“Why rush…let’s see how he reacts after a couple of losses”
It ain’t happening! We don’t even look like losing.
Give him what he’s earned…a 3 year contract as manager of this football club now.23 -
That says it all !ValleyGary said:That…..was fucking brilliant.11 -
Just following up with something from the match thread
That should be centre back, surely?NornIrishAddick said:Will young Master Stockley have to play full back on his return?
Hope you've just got a mild case @Nicholas, and that there'll be another close to full house in the near future to take him to.Nicholas said:Absolutely gutted I wasn't there today as I tested positive for Covid
Really wanted to take my boy to a packed valley for once.
Brilliant performance by the boys today so nice to see a proper team

We won.
Another cracking game and like kids for a quid v Doncaster destroying the myth that we never win special offer games.
We out worked and worked out Plymouth, who are not poor.
DJ seemed to put in about two dozen decent crosses plus Lee's dozen corners but we couldn't make any of them count. Oh, for Lavelle, Innis and Stockley with all those corners.
Gilbey maybe wasn't as creative as usual but that is really nit-picking, all the players were great. Clare out of position but fantastic, Famewo dominant, George "he's here, here's there he's every f****** where" Dobson proving his worth again.
Really pleased for Washington getting his goal. His running earned that.
Crowd was so up for it as was the Jimmy Seed until we scored.
Did anyone see that DJ (run himself into the ground) getting some stick as he walked passed the away fans and then giving it back when the second went in.
Note to Radical Club. Put more bar staff on when we sell out.12
