The booster jab is not a requirement at this point in time.

I have had all three jabs and the flu jab.
I tried for several hours a couple of weeks ago to put the NHS appliance on my mobile telephone and failed.
It seemingly works for others, but easy and intuitive it is not. What one ‘obviously’ does is not obvious, and a button by button step by step guide in simple traditional language is not available.
One doesn’t ‘just’ have to do this that or the other it would help me and possibly others if it was simpler.
Like search Google on your internet telephone for the NHS appliance.
Then a great big red button appears which says ‘press this and you will have a Covid passport on your mobile telephone’.
(maybe you put your name and address in a simple form before pressing the button)
Then a great big red button called ‘Vaccine Passport’ appears on the main screen of the mobile telephone.
That might be helpful to people.
Hi Seth, if you search for “how do I put the NHS app on my (fill in the device you want it on)”, you will find the NHS site has a step by step guide to help you.
    Good luck!

if you are not tech savvy, or have a phone that isn't compatible with apps, can you not apply via the NHS website for a paper copy of your vaccination record to show?

  • If one is not vaccinated (and I am but Son isn't) can anyone clarify how one proves a negative test ? Do you just do one at home and show it /photograph it ?  Seems ridiculous as anyone can SHOW a negative test or am I missing something ?

Why don't you request a paper one. It is much easier. It also has the added benefit of not having an expiry date.

Clive - Is the Covid letter pass effectively a 'passport'? Will it enable access to The Valley?

That is what is is meant to be, i've checked other clubs websites including Celtic, Rangers, Cardiff & Swansea, where the rules already apply & they all accept them.
No doubt the COO at 'The Valley' is on the case & will let fans know the requirements before Boxing Day.

so downloaded the app, set up my passport etc and it says it expires in 3 days time. Double jabbed and had booster 3 weeks ago. Wife had jabs on same days and hers says 9th Jan

    What’s that all about?

If people are determined to get round the rules and regulations then they will, no matter what provisions the Government or Club put in place.

And they will probably brag at how clever they are.

I'm assuming that a home NHS LFT would not be accepted and that a booked 3rd party supplier would have to be used to ensure its legit. Anyone know if that is the case?

I assume a covid passport is for 2 jabs, and not the booster.
It shows the booster where appropriate. If you have an iPhone you can add it to Apple Wallet so you can show it without the internet.

I was vaccinated abroad so can't get a COVID pass. How does the lateral flow test work? You literally bring the stick along? Couldn't it just be anyone's and how could they even tell you did it recently
Log it on line and you get sent a text
or get it done at a walk in centre and the result is sent to you by email and text.

That's the short term/temporary pass, until you calibrate your personal id in the form of a passport or driving license.

The app relies on you entering your NHS number and date of birth when registering for the first time. It then asks for your email address the first time you log in. You can then set it up for facial recognition. After entering you click on NHS COVID pass. A green continue button then appears. You can select Domestic or travel and the pass(es) appear. The travel option gives you a QR code for each jab. It gets updated every time you look at it and you can add to Apple Wallet if you have an iPhone which means you can show the passes without internet coverage. All show valid for a month.

On the app mine says has an expiry date as well. How we as @clive says the paper version has no expiry date. Seems a bit stupid really.
