What is important is that contributors on here are ready to blame either the club/Keohone/TS/the Fans Advisor/CAST or Lyle Taylor (take your pick) come the inevitable imperfect solution adopted at the games impacted 😂
No point getting wound up by it.
It’s a centrally dictated measure to encourage a course of behaviour which you either subscribe to or don’t.
The club cannot win whatever they do in the same way theatres, nightclubs can’t either.
To expect a different outcome beyond a cursory check and challenge is not fair or realistic.
It seems to work quite effectively and efficiently at the airport. Why shouldn't it work at the Valley...coz itself football?!
Also worked perfectly well at cricket. I went to full house at both Lords and Edgbaston in July which were test events before opening up. Hardly seemed much of a problem if organised properly, although did require quite a few extra bodies to make it work.
Entry to cricket grounds is via gates in surrounding walls before entry to the stands. How would you stop the crowds outside the Valley.

Why have you just a created an entire scenario in your head that's not even happened and then gone on to write 4 sentences about it?

Because I thought it was clear it was mostly intended as a joke/funny hence the smiley face. But also because inevitably some will be inconvenienced / have some issues with it when it does happen.
And finally because some others have already highlighted some practical concerns e.g. @ronnie@RonnieMoore on page 2 noted:
'Another silly rule that got no chance of happening .. 10,000 trying to get in the ground there not going to take a close look at everything screenshot … plus someone could easy copy someone covid passport and flash that in front of the stewards eyes .. he not going to know ….. this is not going to happen on a match day'

Airports are warm, dry, indoors locations, where everyone is used to arriving early and queueing. And if you kick off an armed policeman is likely to arrive!

I went to Lord's under that procedure, though a nice sunny summer's when everyone is just overjoyed to be there isn't the same as a dark and wet winter evening. Especially if there's a bit of "tension " in the air, e.g. the Millwall Palace cup game. All it takes is a few people to "kick off"
As a result in proposed changes to coronavirus legislation, and until further notice, Plymouth Argyle Football Club has a responsibility to ensure that all supporters (over the age of 18) provide evidence to our staff of their Covid status in order to gain entry to Home Park. All staff in attendance will also be required to follow the same rules.
Proof of COVID status can be presented to our staff in any of the following ways:
If you are exempt on medical grounds, you can still apply for the NHS COVID pass. Information can be found here
A digital or paper certificate of double vaccination.
Proof of a negative lateral flow test (LFT) result by text or email (within 48 hours of kick-off): do not bring the physical test unit with you (click here to order tests).
Please note: Your NHS vaccination details card is not acceptable proof of double vaccination.
Supporters who are already fully vaccinated are encouraged to plan in advance of fixtures and sign up for a digital NHS COVID pass well ahead of their next visit (details can be found here).
We encourage all supporters to download the pass to their online wallet, or obtain the pass prior to arriving at the stadium. We cannot guarantee that you will be able to download the pass at the stadium due to anticipated demand.
We ask all supporters to make plans to arrive at Home Park Stadium as early as reasonably practical prior to kick off. If you usually arrive at 2.30, please consider giving yourself an extra 30 minutes by arriving at 2pm in order to make sure you and your fellow supporters are in your seat prior to kick off.
To accommodate this enhanced procedure, turnstiles will now open two hours prior to kick off until further notice.
We are obliged to check on a game by game basis, therefore we cannot collect and hold season ticket holder Covid Status on record.
Please have your Covid proof to hand and ready when queuing, as we will aim to go down the queues to check prior to arriving at the turnstile. We will check what is reasonably practical on the day.
Updated guidance also states that supporters in attendance should wear a face covering while traversing through turnstiles, concourses and enclosed spaces. These can be removed once in the stadium bowl and seated.
We would also ask all supporters (including under 18s) to consider taking a COVID-19 lateral flow test before attending Home Park. Club staff are committed to undertaking regular tests to ensure that we play our part in making Argyle matches as safe an environment as possible for our supporters. We ask that our fans contribute to this effort.
There will be additional stewards outside the ground to assist on the day if you have an issue with providing your Covid Status, or are unsure of what to show.
This updated guidance is anticipated to become a legal requirement within the next 24 hours subject to a parliamentary vote, and we will be duty-bound to abide by these new rules.
We thank supporters for their help in ensuring this process is as smooth as it can be.
Fyi it seems that the club will be permitted to do compliance spot checks on a 'reasonable' % of people in attendance (to avoid the risks of crowds building around entrances if everyone was checked). This seems sensible and also implies that the random spot checks which are done will be done properly.
That sort of procedure will be a nightmare entering the Curbs stand for example, as the queues there are basically one big throng until you reach near the turnstiles.
I think they will do spot checks and I’ve seen discussions about checking a 25% sample size, which seems sensible - the rationale being that supporters will comply with the requirements, rather than take the chance of being refused admission.
We have tickets for Harlequins game at Twickenham on 27 December and I understand that this is the procedure that will be adopted - given that the attendance is usually between 70K and £82k, it is realistically the only viable option. That assumes, of course, that the game goes ahead, given the current high rates of infection. In addition to spectator safety, lots of Premiership players have tested positive recently and the Barbarians game at Twickenham at the end of last month was postponed 90 minutes before kick-off because of an outbreak in the squad.
Charlton have done very well so far, with only a few cases amongst our players. Fingers crossed that this continues and that we can get all our games played.
Sorry but may I ask what may well be a stupid question ? Re "Proof of a negative lateral flow test (LFT) result by text or email (within 48 hours of kick-off): do not bring the physical test unit with you " - is this a paid for test, not the free LFT you can order from NHS and do yourself ? if so how does this work ? How does one show evidence of a negative test ? Thanks
The test is free and you report the result online. You’ll be given a text or be able to download a document to confirm your negative test, which you will have to show to gain entry.

I believe it's a free at home LFT. You then go online & register the result, which shows on your NHS app, in the same place as your Covid pass, which you can show at the turnstile.
My 18 year old son said earlier that the Government were "changing the rules" on what is called "fully vaccinated" for a Covid Pass - going from being doubled jabbed to treble jabbed. Anyone know anything about this ? I'm assuming it's part of what they are voting on today/this evening in the HOC. If so its going to bugger a lot of younger people up.
He has only just had his 2nd jab a couple of weeks ago so his 3rd (or booster) cant be done for a couple of months yet.

On another note - just got my Covid Pass via the NHS app on my phone. Valid for a month as per others. Says I can store it on my phone via Google Play (Android) but then wanted a secure way of storing it by having a lockable screen.
Started the process but then wanted finger print recognition & other crap. Just too much faff I'm afraid.
There's being compliant & then there's going overboard.

I think it is only double jabbed
It's definitely double jabbed, but perhaps may move to triple jabbed at a future date.

I think i heard that when most eligible people have had the opportunity to have had their booster jab it is proposed to alter the phrase ' fully vaccinated' from double jabbed to triple jabbed.

Agree with this. I imagine it will be increased to triple jabbed/boosted, but it won't be before everyone has had an offer for a third jab/booster.

It's quite simple.
