    Jump on a train from Dartford straight into Chatham. Pubs just round the corner I believe.

    Brown town Gillingham is the next stop down the line and they are trains pretty regular, a taxi would only set you back about a fiver between three so it's not a logistical nightmare that should not involve any form of splitting.

    The Alex is indeed on a roundabout and provides a good view of the Chatham locals gettng their super T's fix under the statue with a cone on it's head.

    Lagers are Oranjeboum, Hurlemans, and Holsten Export.

    Fruit based drinks and a selection of wines for the ladies.

    For the more hardcore the O'Connels (formerly the bullseye) is a shithole, spit and sawdust pub but does good guinness.

    Taxi would take a lot longer than a train... Train is no hassle from there

    That selection right there has a big sign saying no to me, Shepheard Neame = sh*t and scream

    What's the matter with you? It's what puts hairs on yer chest!!

    Hurlemans = Anger/wife beating

    Holsten = Trying to be posh

    Oranjeboum = Good times.

    I'll get you a white wine spritzer in mate ;-)

    Alex

    Most improved Pub in Chatham - LOL

    Does that mean it's not had to have it's windows replaced due to vandalism in the last six weeks ?
  • Options
    Neame's are bliss! Spitfire on tap... Late Red on tap... starting with a pint of Early Bird. I'll be quite happy in the corner with my flat cap, pipe and slippers...
  • Options
    It means it HAS it's windows changed every few weeks.

    For those who don't fancy the Alex the Statue seating area is a much populated and lively area to enjoy a Saturday afternoon drink or two.
  • Options
    And you can get a hair cut right next to the statue, at the hairdressers in the underpass along with the public toilets.

    Real nice

    I think we should be able to get this topic to over 100 easily. would that be a record for a pre season friendly?
