summer recruitment - expects 2- 4 players to sign on in summer with some retained - (negotiations going on now), some players loaned out and maybe some sold... expects 1 experienced player to sign on with the rest of the perms investments, will fill out squad with 5-6 inexpensive (but good!) loans
Literally NO chance if that ends up being our transfer window!
When asked to give a tangible example of what MS has done TS named Scott Fraser. The same Scott Fraser who was well known as one of the best playmakers in the division...
The summer will be the real test. Aneke and Fraser were obvious potential signings.
Which is nonsense as even TS himself as said we wanted him last summer, before MS was here. Fraser is a Gallen signing.

I think the important point is he's clearly not a rough diamond uncovered by analytics - you might use data (pre-Ipswich) to confirm he'd be a good signing, fit our intended style etc, but he's a well known L1 player.
I was reassured a bit that he's aware that the ticket initiatives haven't been entirely successful, and that mistakes were made. Also interesting that they've been using outside consultants to advise on this
Good Q&A. TS improved as he went along. Better with the quick fire answers as there was less rambling. Heather A, did well to try and get him to stick to the question answered. Well organised event. Well done to CAFC trust and credit to Thomas Sandgaard for attending.
Thanks all, thought the Double Hs and Sam did a good job hosting that
Fair play to Thomas for putting himself out there. Synonymous with his ownership so far, I didn’t like all the answers but not enough to kick off and I remain supportive
I enjoyed that, he wasn't given an easy ride, he acknowledged mistakes. On the money front, as I've always said, he has made his money, sold shares in his company over the years and does have dosh. Even said he could buy assets now, but seems the negotiations are heading towards a conclusion but this could be 6 months or more away. Let's see what happens in the summer with recruitment.
@aliwibble with the CEO question, looking into it, but not a priority, says there would be a need for a local CEO to catch bad habits and weirdness that exists at the club that he can't do remotely (I guess a ceo is important after all) will most probably be a non football person not that important as it's the entertainment business.
Dear oh dear .................... what's his wife doing these days ?

He said 2-5 key players supplemented with 5-6 loans.
What was said about the training ground and Valley?
Was Cat 1 mentioned?
He’s bought another portacabin from a championship side for the training ground which the first team canteen will move into. The academy will move fully into the main buildings.
I think I heard he’s confident we’ll have cat 1 in a few months based on this. As I’ve said before though, I think giving us cat 1 with the facilities we have would make a mockery of the whole thing so I’d be very surprised if we FA did it.

Bought some buildings from a champ club for the first team to use so the current setup goes to the youth to hit the fa requirements of quite literally, brick and mortar buildings.
Audit in around 2 months time to see if we're up to order, no real date given as to when we'll get it granted.
Did I here it right that the workaround potentially is putting the Academy in the older bricked building and the first team in the portacabins. I was a bit distracted. To meet CAT 1 requirements?

Yes... 2-5 players signed, 1 probably a more experienced player the rest investments with potential to push on, the rest of the squad filled out with 5-6 loans...
2-6 new signings on long term contracts and 5-6 loans could be 10 new players. But for me the real test is whether we renew people like Purrington and Matthews.
Enjoyed that and fair play to TS for doing it. I thought his body language was uncomfortable throughout. He wasn’t exactly grilled but the implications behind a lot of the questions was clear enough. A couple clearly touched a nerve. I like the guy. He is a vast improvement on the charlatans we have had in recent years. I genuinely hope he makes a real fist of it and he has my support. However, it does feel as though a mixture of wealth, ego and bravado is carrying him through and there is a whiff off BS not too far from the surface. I also think that JJ (or any manager for that matter) would find his degree of interest in the playing side a little difficult. What he doesn’t know, he’s making up. But he is clearly putting his money where his mouth is and we should be grateful for that. The “fill the valley” nonsense is clearly a crusade for him and it may take a while before he realises that you can’t give away something no one wants. Get a good team on the pitch chasing promotion and the place will fill itself. And he will come to realise at some stage that he needs help. There’s a lot I’m worried about but while there are echoes of Roland And Katrien in some of his utterances, TS is far more palatable.

A slight eyebrow raise (if it's allowed) was that they may, specifically be, property investors in regards to the stadium, assets being bought back.

The Matthews train keeps on going.

And cat 1 ain't happening.
New song out soon.
