I'm absolutely gushing with praise - absolute heroic effort there by our boys - such passion energy fight determination and pride. Our fans who made the journey up there must be so thrilled to have done so, and I don't know why they weren't just cheering them off at the end. Happy days. Great beer in my fridge too.
Truly awful. No fight and no tactics. Leko is woeful wherever he plays. Clare poor. Lee went round in circles. Macca doesn't command his area. Stockley lumbering.
Big game on Tuesday now and might as well play some youngsters who at least will try...
Get Curbs in now to organise this bunch of no-hopers, before it’s too late. As much as I respect Jackson for what he achieved as a player, he is totally out of his depth. A temporary appointment of an experienced manager is quickly looking like our last throw of the dice. Lose on Tuesday and the downward momentum will only gather more pace.
Shit players, shit tactics, shit formation, shithousing from Accrington, shit ref other than that it was all good.
I feel like I can type the same post match comments every week. All over the shop at set plays, second to every loose ball, created next to nothing in the first half and even less in the second again 10 men.
The formation is a joke and the tactics employed by the manager increasingly baffling.
But for some shocking finishing from Sunderland we would be looking at our 7th defeat on the spin today. We did not deserve a point last week and we're never getting anything today.
The players have no fight and no interest in playing for the shirt. I hope the rumours that it turned ugly at full time are true and the poor insane few who travelled up there gave the wasters both barrells.
I keep saying it, and will say it again. We are going to have to get something at Ipswich to stay up. Any of the struggling sides will fancy us at the moment. Gillingham will be in our faces from the off and if they score first we are fucked.
Whoever is coaching our setplay defending wants shooting. Shirtliff said it after 5 mins. I can't understand how they are lining up to defend set plays, it worries me.
1 point from 21 in this shithouse of a league. We have not even come close to a win in the last 7.
The buck should stop with the players but imo Jackson has to share the responsibility. He is out of his depth and his stubbornness will be the end of him.
I would not give a shit if every single player and member of the first team squad is gone come the start of next season.
Complete rebuild needed and TS seriously needs to consider if any of Jackson, Euell, Skiverton and Gallen are included in that.
This feels like the end of 10/11 and 16/17 all over again. Summer 2011 we got it spot on, 2017 we got better and built towards 18/19. The latter is the bare minimum improvement we need but top 2 has to be the aim.
Not confident we’ll do either. Concerned we’re going to offer deals to a number of players. Keeping Pearce, Purrington etc as squad players won’t improve us. What they did 3 years ago alongside some Championship level players is irrelevant.
The only good thing about struggling is it shows how much of a change we need.
It’s a no from me. We’ve gone from bad to worse since Skiverton has come in.
I totally get people’s concerns about players lack of ability and motivation, but if the game plan is for us to move the ball slowly across our back line before we kick it long, it’s not really a situation they’re going to excel in.
Brownie says he would be expecting us to win at least two, if not three, of the next four.
Gillingham are the toughest opponent there. Burton, Wimbledon and Doncaster are all on horrendous runs of form and I entirely agree that those are the games where we must pick up the points to give us the breathing room heading into April.
Burton won today. I wish we could be on such a horrendous run.
Not listened to the interview but the few comments coming from JJ on here, are not comments from someone that’s going to turn this team into anything close to good enough.
Playing with the amount of injuries against the top / better teams, we have, was always going to be difficult.
This
has not been helped by playing 352, particularly when there is not the
players to play it :- not quick enough centre backs, no decent wing
backs but wingers or right / left backs in that position and injured
strikers / so that wingers, youngsters/ midfielders playing as one of
the 2 forwards. Square pegs in round holes. Its brought relegation closer than it needed to be.
Maybe
JJ is proving, which players can play the formation ? There doesn't
appear to be many of them. Its going to need a big rebuild if JJ is
planning to play this way next season.
With players coming
back, and less strong teams will hopefully result in Charlton getting
comfortably enough points. I still don't like 352 much though.

Curbs thinks the answer is to play Gilbey so no thanks.
It is hard to see Jacko still here at the start of next season.
Some of these players aren't playing up to standard, but they look lost out there. And that's a coach's job.
We weren't good last week, we just got lucky they didn't score from their free headers.
Even if all the players were terrible, it's much easier to sack one manager than it is 25 players.
I feel for Jacko, I really do. But in the fall he showed the levels this team is capable of. And we haven't been at that since. I hope he's able to get a little something more out of this squad in the run in. But right now in his interview he's talking about the players *he* wants for next year and I just don't know that that decision should be his. Certainly not exclusively.
Jackson talking about being ruthless on decisions around who to keep. Good to hear but he may need a decent run in these last 10 games to keep his job.
Brownie saying Jacko is being let down by the players... no camaraderie, no team spirit... Curbs agrees.
He says Curbs longevity was down to being able to trust his players out on the pitch. And if one didn't perform, he could trust the replacement. He says Jackson must pick his team, watch them play then shake his head and think pfffffft. Who am I going to replace them with?

No wins in five prior to that and were losing 2-0 today. Won with two goals in the last ten minutes which will give them some confidence.
Adkins got screwed over in the summer with a bad squad that he had no input on.
Jackson took over and it's just shown that the squad isn't good enough.
If you think Jackson deserves another chance next season, you should apologise to Adkins for TS wasting his fantastic form last season and lumping him with this lot.
I think the truth is blame can be laid at a lot of doors, not just one person's. Was it Sandgaard's fault that he brought in Dobson, who Adkins wouldn't play and is now the only consistently good player we have every week? Was it Sandgaard's fault that he spent a lot on the exact striker Adkins wanted retained, signed him a L1 player of the year in goal, signed him the statistically best creative player in the league and then got Arter in at Adkins' request when he didn't fancy Dobson? You can say Sandgaard brought the players in too late, but since then he's replaced Aneke with Aneke and signed the exact Scott Fraser every Charlton fan has been raving about for years. Adkins got things he wanted, so has Jackson and neither of them have been able to do a single thing with them except look terrible. I'm not apologising to Adkins for him alienating lots of squad members and failing to develop any momentum at the start of the season, I'm not apologising to Jackson for him not having the squad he wants when he's playing wingers and central midfielders at wing back and refusing to change absolutely anything even though it's clearly not working. Everything is shit, everyone is to blame. Burn them all

Everyone wants to play us at the moment, says it all.😤
Usually the end of the road when a manager starts doing that.
Calling out the players doesn't generally tend to get them playing for you and given we can't (unfortunately as i wish we could) sack all of the players, it's normally the manager who's on his way out.
Could all change by next week though, really need 2 big home performances this week.

“we are conceding the same goals every week”
”we work on it every week and it’s not getting through or some aren’t taking responsibility on the pitch”
Wankers.
The 'leader' in this dressing room has to go.
Big game on Tuesday now and might as well play some youngsters who at least will try...
Slag off the players and then expect them to play for you over the next few months? Smart.

You get poor management.
