We need someone completely new, not a guy who's been part of previous failed setups.10 -
CH4RLTON said:Sorry if this has already been mentioned but what about Andy Woodman? He is former employee, based locally, big personality, was wanted by Gillingham this season, years of experience in coaching allbiet as mainly goalkeeper coach and I reckon would be cheap
If you want to see Jayden Stockley as a number 10 and get neck ach watching the ball spend 90% of the time in the air. Great.
We won't have to worry about a new grounds man because the pitch won't be used. Add relegation Rodger shouting from the side lines.1 -

I don’t really understand the Mark Warburton love but Sandgaard is obsessed with the ‘Brentford model’ and has recently hired a lot of ex-Brentford staff, so he’s probably got a chance. Here’s a recent quote from Mark Warburton after leaving QPR:‘Do I enjoy working? Yes. But I want to go to a club where I have a chance of success if that makes sense. Where there are plans in place to build and develop, to establish a side. I hope very much to get that opportunity.’Is any manager going to look at Sandgaard and believe that’s the case? Forcing a style of play and onto his fourth manager in two years?2

Lincoln after the Shamrock Rovers manager. Is he someone we should look at?

I usually dislike the summer and get bored without the football.
This summer will be interesting and before you know it we will have the football round again.
Am I right in thinking the last two managers appointed in order to start a fresh season were Dowie and Peeters?0 -
Basil Fawlty?
Experienced Manager.
Keeps a tight ship.
Meticulous
Knows how to get the best out of people

Lots of exciting if unlikely names been mentioned; Farke, Beale etc.
Meanwhile I have absolutely no faith that Sandguard and his nepotee will make the right appointment. None.2 -

Unless this is a whoosh moment I am seriously worried for some of our fans. Deluded doesnt even cover it.30 - Sponsored links:

Brilliant.
Russell ‘are you patient Louis?’ Slade.
He lasted until the November I think.
He failed to be Russell ‘do well and then jump ship’ Slade with us, because he was unable to do well.0 -
More concerned regarding who is making the choice rather than who it is at the moment, let's face it the only real appointment made by Thomas & Son has been Nige, and we all know how that panned out, so not a great record so far.
Jacko came in to plug a hole and did an ok job, now it has to be right, but my confidence in the right choice being made this time is somewhat depleted, fingers crossed everyone...🤞🤞2 -

Its also letting the choice have a input/veto on players.3 -

Howe and Wilder mentioned last time, Dyche, Warnock, Warne etc this.
We're a mid-table League One side, there are so many managers who, frankly, can do a lot better than Charlton at the moment.15 -

Paul Warne is a bit of a Rotherham legend1 -

If Klopp & Guardiola are Waitrose, we’re looking in the Happy Shopper bargain bin0 -
One thing is for sure, there isn’t a candidate that’s yet been mentioned who will meet with universal approval from the fan base. The soap opera just rolls on and on.5

I think Sandgaard gets too involved in team affairs. Some of his quotes since Jackson left are worrying.
Wouldn't surprise me if he appoints an unheard of Danish guy or American, as I don't think he's got a clue about the football side of things. The problem is...he thinks he does!!4 -

If you go back say 30 years, we have had a mixture of experienced and inexperienced managers. All the success we have achieved in that time has been with inexperienced ones. It is because the experienced ones that might have achieved success were not in our reach. Just a thought supported by facts.1

Sandgaard seems to be obsessed with the women's team. Could you imagine the meltdown on here if he appoints a woman!!!1
