Sandgaard seems to be obsessed with the women's team. Could you imagine the meltdown on here if he appoints a woman!!!
Now that would really be something! And not automatic meltdown for me, the fundamental is points on the board whatever the gender. Win points and people will gradually return.
Roy Keane is a pundit because he was a terrible manager.
Was he though? Won the title with Sunderland and then was steady, even if not spectacular, at Ipswich.
Was gonna say reckon he's a pundit because it's relatively less stressful than being a manager. Not saying he's the one for us, but do think he'd be a good manager

Given how previous some of our players and fans were when Bowyer criticised any players, I couldn't see that lasting.
It will be Mark Adkins Warburton if we are lucky, but it could be someone much worse than that.
I usually dislike the summer and get bored without the football. This summer will be interesting and before you know it we will have the football round again. Am I right in thinking the last two managers appointed in order to start a fresh season were Dowie and Peeters?
Russell Slade - easily forgotten though!
Yeah! Brilliant. Russell ‘are you patient Louis?’ Slade. He lasted until the November I think. He failed to be Russell ‘do well and then jump ship’ Slade with us, because he was unable to do well.
Don’t be too harsh he signed some real Charlton legends - Novak, Ajose, Foley and Crofts. He also gave me my most memorable Charlton game - 2-0 defeat away at Bury on the first day of the season.

Big Bob Peeters was just appointed when the guys went to the Mijas hills at a golf complex in Spain about 7 years ago and it was interesting seeing the players being put through the drills. No laughter that day as the new coaches under BP worked the players hard. I enjoyed being mistaken by the ref and his assistants as the manager because I was on the pitch chatting to the Spanish groundsman for a friendly match they played there !
We were the last team to lose that season under Peeters and we had a very rigid systems where Rhoys Wiggins said he was told to hold his position and not charge forward and overlap ( poetry in motion) unless the opposition was well beaten. From memory it was 4-4-2 as that was the go to formation.
Problem was once the goals dried up, the wins became draws and the draws became losses and Big Bob was history.
Has there every been a manager since Curbs that wasn't accused of being "tactically naive or out of their depth" Its a famous CL cliché.
If we go for a head coach instead of a manager who doesn't have the casting vote on incoming transfers on football matters over Martin and Thomas Sandgaard and even *Steve Gallen then this will be our longest ever stay in the 3rd tier. The budget have to be a top 6 for League 1 and a coach who is discerning enough to spot the kids who can be involved with the First team squad at 18/19. The occasional 17 year old who is mature enough to step up will be few and far between but Daniel Kanu could be the fifth striker used in the 22/23 season. ( sold after his first goal !)
Getting hacked off with this Brentford model keep being mentioned when they are the polar opposite to Cafc as they don't have the academy system but just play friendlies and buy younger player that others have nurtured.
* I have always backed the hard working Gallen but it's a shame he didn't recommend paying the modest fee for the Championship play off bound Huddersfield wideman: Ex Boreham wood player Sorba Thomas.
Many of you have been slow to appreciate the misunderstanding that I pointed out a few days ago.
It may be worth a new thread but, in the meantime, here's where to get all the latest news about the Essex Premier League. This, of course, is where Sandgaard hopes to takes us ... probably within five years.
And for those of you who think that the stated ambition of 'European football' contradicts my interpretation, remember that Sandgaard is Danish and will almost certainly regard Canvey Island (and even Maldon) as 'European'. Did the Vikings fight in vain?
I have a finger on the pulse at St Margaretsbury and Sawbridgeworth Town so I'll keep you posted if there are any managerial rumblings.
I think Sandgaard gets too involved in team affairs. Some of his quotes since Jackson left are worrying.
Wouldn't surprise me if he appoints an unheard of Danish guy or American, as I don't think he's got a clue about the football side of things. The problem is...he thinks he does!!
I’m in total agreement, at first the over arrogance and confidence just felt like something we could all put up with up as long as the best intentions of the club were at heart. The more I see and hear him the more I really worry that how this is going to end
Rotherham average attendance is under 10000 there training ground is 2 pitches and a porta cabin. On the side of a county senior team parkgate. The ground which they used for about 3 years before they could afford to buy the cabins.
The referee changing room was wooden shed where the roof sags so much with the damp it was ready to cave in and you put a broom at the door to keep it shut.
Are we really less attractive than Rotherham because there in the championship. For probably 1 season again.
Don’t know why some of you support us if that’s how you see us.
More chance of getting Shane Warne than Paul Warne.

I don't understand what you are asking! You are asking why Charlton supporters support Charlton because we are in league 1 and realise we are in league 1?

Who ever we appoint will be a gamble because the Charlton gig has so much baggage attached to it over quite a few years with punch drunk fans and a cynical fan base that need to stop protesting and enjoy the football; Impossible at the moment I do concur.
I can't see this happening but Curbs as mentor and a "director of football" working 30 odd hours a week with plenty of time off for golf days, with a young coach Michael Beale who at 40 really needs to stop just being an innovative coach and see if he can be head coach/ manager back where his football career started with a wise old head like Alan Lewellyn Curbishley to help with the daily issues of how to run a football club and give advise to MB on how to deal with media, owner etc which has never been Michael's remit up to now. Plus how to deal with the clowns behind you in the dug outs who know better than you despite never having set up a kids team let alone a third tier pro team.
Beale and Curbs as the dream team ? Just not sure that Thomas Sandgaard will buy into this but what a waste of Curbs experience which would be invaluable to Beale.
Beale won't need any advise on the various formations. The better the players the easier the job.
Why? Warnock is your go-to when you are in trouble and want saving from relegation. Once he has done his job the fans suddenly want better football and a new manager. (Hmm, maybe revisit in December )

Ticks all the boxes.
1) Looks like Sandgaard
2) Thinks like Sandgaard
3) Has previous (International) coaching experience
4) Isn't Sandgaard
So, Thomas lives the dream through Robo-Sandgaard, and is immune when it all goes wrong.
