Beale is regarded by people in football as one of the brightest coaching talents globally Somebody who I know who has also done his uefa b badges and knows him well says he’ll be going back to Liverpool with stevie g when klopp goes and is with gerrard for the long haul No way he’s coming to us
Mmmm…….. unfortunately that makes a lot of sense. 😕

This could well be true but it doesn’t allow for Beale at some point wanting the gaffers job. It might be that he is perfectly happy doing what he’s doing but most good coaches want a crack at being number one at some point. He won’t get a Premier League managers job. Might get a Championship club willing to take him on but it’s probably league one where he cuts his managerial teeth.
Beale probably won't get a championship job now but before he is 50 he probably will, especially if he goes to Liverpool with $tevie G MBE and wins a few things. Didn't do second choice Steve much harm.

How can we tell how long it will be or if ever he wants to be number one ? He’s 41 now so if he decides he wants to build something and win a few things he’s what I would suggest is nearing the now is the time moment. My guess is he’s happy where he is for now. I think though at some point he’ll branch out on his own.

That was part of my point he would probably have a much stronger hand to play in 5 years time. Although it's equally possible his hand will be much worse.

But first managers job at 46. I think he’ll get the chance before that.
I posted this in the Scott Twine thread and thought I should probably bring it over here since it's relevant...
"Player power is the name of the game. If we want to be signing players like Twine, we are going to require a forward-thinking coach to be able to attract them.
Let’s imagine Twine mk 2 was available this summer. Even if we were to speak to his agency about signing him, I’m not sure we would be able to convince them of our intent. They’d look at what we’ve done over the past two seasons and say thanks but no thanks.
It might well take Charlton a couple of years to build the reputation we would want & need to attract this type of talent to the club.
Having said all of the above, it makes me think twice about my wish for a young and upcoming coach from League 2 or youth football. There is a massive task to turn this around and it’s going to need some strong leadership and experience to get it done right.
I am hoping we are talking with Warburton and I lean heavily towards him being the best candidate. I believe he’s the man that can start us on our journey. Whether he is here in 2-3 years to see it through is a different question. But I don’t think there’d be a more experienced option to set the platform, bringing our team into this new chapter."
Either way, ludicrous money. It’s multiples of what we pay our players and, call me old fashioned, I think the blokes that kick the ball are more important. What was JJ on?
Quite how we are going to sign a manager with any real quality when our current head of scouting and recruitment was a travelling medical salesman less than two years ago is anyone's guess?

I don't think it's entirely out of the question. We did finish mid table this season but everyone will be aware that that's not our natural position.
If he wants a club where he gets a full summer, I'm not aware of any Championship clubs that have a vacancy other than the one he just left...
We are the next London club in the pecking order after QPR from the league tables if he wants to remain in London. Not really a lot out there for current managers. Doubt he would get the Watford job. Only other local ish ones in championship is maybe Reading and Bristol which might come up next season.
Was informed that Beale will be a non starter as he was not happy that Thomas said he had contacted him in an interview when Adkins left. I can't recall this can anyone verify please? Hoping this is not the case and Beale is a possibility. Thomas has verified to me that he tried to contact Beale last time.

And then appointed…Jackson! Csnt believe a word he says really.
The pressure on TS to appoint Jackson after those initial results was enormous. I’m not blaming Sandgaard for talking to someone and then being effectively forced into appointing someone else.

He’s just so clumsy with his statements that while they’re supposed to be the official line they just seem more like gossip

it’s a great challenge for anyone who has faith in himself
Ermmmm, they aren’t the worst by any means but to describe them as second to none is way off the mark.
