White shirt, black shorts? Won the FA Cup in those colours.
  • Presume that’s the Valley when the site was a chalk pit so chalk / ecru ? Either that or a nice London Clay brown ;-)

A little while ago the comms team approached the museum asking for some specific images.

    This was one of them.

I could tell you what the others were but then there would a price on my head.

MK dons had the paint splash design right?

Could it be possible based from the picture that ours could be White and Chalk based with dusty splashes? If that makes sence? Kinda representing the dusty clothes they would have worn.
  • My guess is a remake of the 1923/24 season home kit.

Because our new away kit will be the pits?  ;)

Haven’t we had something similar before?

Would imagine it’ll have some link to the ‘100 years at the valley’ celebration this season?

Is that George Dobson top left?

Never mind top left looking like Dobbo, bottom left looks like Dobby!

One year at Catford, 5 1/2 at Palarse and 18 months at Upton, so 92 at The Valley.

    1916/17 kit

I have absolutely no idea what would link this photo with the photo they released.
Two different designs? Maybe one is for the third kit?
Unless the kit at that time was two shaded blue?

Is this the commemorative East Street shirt?
In addition to the anti-wicking technology it also has a monocoque of Matt Southalls stupid pube sewn head decoratively woven beneath the RSK logo and at each arm pit…
  • White away and blue third I’ve heard
  • A hark back to the days of rickets and whooping cough?
And I bet it was warmer.
  • In an emergency, if we got enough white or yellow (light colour anyway) castore shirts, we could sublimation print the sponsor etc... on them. Not ideal but might be better than wearing a non Castore kit. Easy to do, I printed the away shirts for the team I managed a few years back to save a bit of money. Basically you can sublimation print anything on polyester.
  • I suspect it means they are confident enough that they’ve got the kit needed for Accrington at a minimum

Did they say they might not have the full kits? I missed that press release if they did.
