I’ve posted before that I think we’ve quite often had a gameplan that makes him appear ineffective though to be fair to Miles he’s been putting in some pretty good performances imo of late. In fact, it’s not just him. We set up to fail. In the mist of times I seem to have the impression that with Nathan we would have a pressing game. In reality our gameplan is all about defending, which in turn opens the door for opponents to constantly attack us, have lots of shots and, given the law of averages, score from at least one of those shots. We don’t play a back 4, we basically play a back 9 having to sort out telepathically who is covering who at any given moment in the game. The one bloke up front at any time when he’s not been called back to defend as well assumes the General Custer role of leading an occasional charge and hoping others can catch up and follow. Obviously that tactic didn’t work out too well at Little Big Horn and resulted in the attempt to subsequently defend the opposition attack going badly. That attacking concept hasn’t really been improved upon with our gameplan.
