Half time muted boo’s from the home support. That’s an encouraging 45 from Charlton. Good possession and we’ve created a couple of good chances. Chef Wendy not doing any pressing. Carry on as we are and we’re in with a shout. Only disappointment… Jayden Stockley. It’s not happening for him at the mo0
-
Not a bad half, but Stockley looks completely out of sorts. Also frustrating that Kirk isn’t attacking the far post when we have the ball out wide right. He would have had an easy tap in.I’d bring Payne on for Fraser, and Leaburn for Kirk.0
-
Could and should have been a lot better, we need to be more composed in the final third, missed chances and on another day could be 2 up, still, sure Ben will put ‘em straight, still confident we’ll win ..😎0

HT stats:
Possession 42-58
Shots 1-6
On Target 0-2
Corners 2-2Shots inside the box 1-3
Accurate pass percentage 76-851 -
Wednesday strangely passive, I imagine they'll get a real bollocking at HT1
-
Happy with that, Stockley looks like a Sunday League player in this setup, and I have not once seen him talking or organising as a captain.2

Stockley and Fraser look out of sorts. Stockley especially isn't chasing the ball. Kirk needs to do more, the rest of the team, very very good.1

It's been a decent half from the controversial correspondent.
A few predictable comments, and these have incurred the wrath of one or two, but some nice, if seemingly irrelevant, score updates from elsewhere designed to prove a general point or two.
Will he be able to keep it up in the second half as the heat takes its toll? I think so. He has had a good pre-season, and some of the long-term injuries are behind him. The odd pain in the neck, but that's about all.
Looking at the bigger picture ... is he showing signs in these early matches that he is capable of going on a long and successful run?
Well, it's difficult to say. There are many unknown factors, so only a fool would commit at this early stage.
Let's just say ... we remain optimistic.13 -
Playing well but should be winning. How refreshing to see us pass the ball well. Goals will come from this team, we’re not reliant on one player to create. Need to keep it up and start taking our chances.

Very good first half, we look well organised and comfortable on the ball but we’re just lacking that killer instinct in front of goal.Sheffield have to improve though, they’ve been very poor so far.2
-
All that half was lacking was one of the wingers or midfielders anticipating one of those far post crosses or CBT having a bit more composure once he’d round the keeper. It won’t always be perfect but it’s been a while since we’ve had a playing identity. I’m enjoying watching us play to a system. We seem to be decent at it too. Just need to find that last 5% which is where all the goals will come from.1

Can we keep it up second half is the big question.

him & even spoke to Steve Gallen about him - who seemed not to know about him.
A lad on loan from a Premier League side who seems to know where the net is. But we dont need a striker it seems. We have the free scoring Stockley.1 - Sponsored links:

Decent first half.. would have been good to score as we're in danger of being the Derby of this equation.
Would like to see CBT and Kirk switch sides as their left back has pretty much got CBT matched for pace whereas he'd rinse their right back and Kirk would provide their left back with a more cerebral challenge.0 -

One good striker short of being a very good team.
Stockley in sulk mode and never looks like scoring in this system.
Fraser not involved enough

In the days when highlights are available well before MOTD I find it strange that we are not allowed to comment on PL matches.
Its hardly the 1970's with Terry finding out by mistake how England got on.....2 -

Dont think we did that though. If we had we would probably have won.
Your a bit pathetic the majority of the time - Honestly not sure what you're trying to prove, other than the fact that you chat shite all too often1 -
When we get another goalscorer up front instead of Kirk we should be a top 3 challenger0
