I would be very surprised if any games go ahead this weekend. Probably the following weekend as well as I would imagine that will be when the funeral takes place.
Where does that end though? Do none of us have to go to work on Monday because the country is in mourning?
I'm not saying that's necessarily the right decision, I just think that's what will happen. I would imagine mid week games will go ahead but as others have said so many people will either want to be at or watch the funeral on TV not to mention Police and Security issues I can see that happening.
The announcement only covers this weekend's football in the PL and EFL, including Monday's PL game. It doesn't say what will happen for the games from Tuesday onwards though

I believe they will go ahead, and possibly next weekend's Saturday games also, assuming the funeral is on Monday 19th (very likely). That said it is also very possible that all matches will be off until after the funeral.
I believe it's a police issue as well, the Met have basically cancelled all leave next week. So that'll surely impact midweek games.
I guess us vs Forest Green could slip through the net as it's so low key but other fixtures will fall - eg. no way the police are putting men aside for Millwall v QPR

A lot is down to policy apparently.
9/10th September fixtures postponed
Haven't we got a home game Tuesday?
Glad I waited before writing a Preview, and glad now I dont have to rush one out.

If it’s not, it’s just plain odd. But what can you do, manic rescheduling coming up.
