  • Enjoying a pre match birthday beer.
Are they (nearly) all drinking Guinness in your honour  ;)
  • It was always Bear Island when I attended said pub.
  • Well if the ITK group would like to share what the motives were / current state of negotiations that would be nice too.
Blimey it’s not difficult. Show the people involved what it can be like to encourage their interest.
If it was that straightforward then I’d say job well done

Can you confirm that Peter’s guys still attended the match, despite everything else going on?

Quite. It’s not that difficult but still lots of mystery for those of us not in the inner circle.

Whilst NDAs play a part it would be nice if more were shared given particularly the ‘senior’ appointments made this week. That suggests others are more advanced doesn’t it?

If you are hinting  PV party still in the running then all is good I guess.
  • or whether what has happened this week is a temporary scenario to try and sell the club so PV was expecting it - my hunch is that but its anything but obvious
  • I don’t speak for PV or have anything further to share but as I’ve already said I am certain he is not working with Methven or involved with this week’s appointments.

Methven may well have investors in which case you’d think they are in pole position, but anything PV is doing is separate from that.
    That’s how I see it.

Have you any thoughts on who made those four appointments ? Given Scott’s interview there’s money available so is it Sandgaard at this point ?

No way is Sandgaard suddenly willing to invest heavily (if that’s what Scott is saying will happen)
What I think I’m getting at is I agree that Sandgaard isn’t financing those appointments or the transfer kitty Scott spoke of so that implies the club is already sold. If it isn’t then who picks up that tab if it goes tits up ?

Has Charlie boy got any money?

    No
  • It’s odd. Appointing these 4 as a joint announcement in itself is odd. Minimal references to TS in the interviews makes little sense.

But why a new owner needs to put them in place first equally seems strange.

A change of some description seems to be more advanced. That suggests the other interested parties are not in the running unless the current front runners are just trying to ‘flip’ and negotiate a fee for stepping aside perhaps.

But that said would the ‘football’ appointments in the 4 want to be associated with a step in and immediately out again scenario?

    I just don’t get it.

Is it? A new owner appointing staff seems pretty sensible to me

Before they are the new owners yes.
  • The potential new owner in the ground the evening standard mention - who is that ?

    Good book, Crap film.
  • Is it a case of Sangaard putting in vases of flowers and putting coffee on to impress prospective buyers.

maybe Peter just wanted to highlight to problems with the ticketing and entry that caused a lot of use to miss the start of the match? shambles entering the north upper
I got to North Upper turnstiles about 7.35pm and was in within 2 minutes.
I wonder what time people turned up who missed the start?

Scott wasn’t asked about Sandgaard at all and didn’t mention him. Weird.

You nailed it and a massive queue must’ve started about 30 seconds after you went in, as we got there at 7.40 and had to wade our way through 100+ person queues for each of the handful of turnstiles that the upper tier has and got in 15mins into the game
  • To be honest I think you could have called that crowd at the start, based on Norwich. A few hundred people may have responded to PV but it was always going to be about that level.

What’s striking is that the club didn’t have a clue.
    Did they not ?

Surely the answer to that is the threat of relegation so real they need to ensure a decent Jan window and this is the way to achieve that.
For whatever reason the deal can’t be done in time before the window. tS or RD being difficult is the obvious reason for this.
    Maybe 2 +2 = 5 but could be plausible
