  • And stockley still hasn’t scored!!!!
At least the vet had a quiet night
  • Absolutely amazing. I watched the end on a dodgy stream.
Just three more defensive  0-0 draws + penalty shoot out wins and we'll have a trophy😁

After so many days of absolute despair on the pitch and sheer worry for the future of the club this happens, it's probably why we can't live without it.
  • And this is why we go to football
  • Only listened to the commentary but Dawson and Innes sounded like they were the stand out performances, having said that everyone had a good game. 🥳🥳🥳
    Goalkeeper did well tonight.
  • Defence outstanding tonight.

Aneke is just a walking hobbling disaster...

Would you Adam and Eve it. Looking forward to Innis having Erling in his back pocket and Dobbo to put a few in on Kdb. UTA

Funny I seem to remember them winning 2-1 yesterday
  • Leicester either home or away sorts me
  • I didn't think we had a prayer tonight. Great, gutsy performance and then a mental shootout. Brilliant night.

Gutted that did my ankle on Sunday, in a boot and on crutches, so couldn’t get there although had a ticket but chuffed to bits with that result and performance. Set the bar now.

PWR. Football can still be amazing. Can feel completely disheartened with it all then get that feeling when Lavelle's penalty went in. Crowd was brilliant and Varney couldn't really have asked for a better atmosphere.

Yes Brighton could have beaten us and if they weren't obsessed with walking the ball in the net really should have done but cannot fault the effort from our boys tonight. Innis with the type of performance he is fully capable of when not asked to fanny around with it at the back. Dobson being Dobson and thought Chin, Ness and  Sess all had great games.

Downside is Chuks yet again but really looking forward to seeing who we get next game.
  • My god this club chews you up and spits you out over and over again! What a night for any prospective new owner but who cares about that right now! Up the Addicks!!!

I did my traditional "avoid the match thread if I can't legally stream it" thing, so only found out the score when my Dad phoned me up at 10 o'clock. He's a wind-up merchant, so had to get Mum to verify that we'd actually won on penalties, and couldn't believe it when I actually saw how many of them hit the woodwork (are we sure we weren't using non-regulation goals?). I think all of our fans who've trekked to games where we've crumbled under pressure earned that one tonight, and hopefully the players will take some confidence from it going forward.
For those who didn't access a dodgy stream, highlights are on ITV4 at 11pm. 10:30pm
