Just how can inniss and lavelle produce such turd performances against league 1 teams then roll out that sort of show against a premier league team? Hopefully use this as a platform to push on this season but much prefer to see them in a back 3 than on their own!
A great night. My boy's first midweek game. Lots of youngsters in tonight what with it not being a school night - kid for a quid paid off - hopefully plenty of new converts.
to all the Debbie Downers and nay sayers....support your fcuking team!!!!.....easy for me to say 3,000 miles away but I did buy a Charlton TV season pass and watch every game
First game at the Valley since before lockdown - biggish crowd great atmosphere and just really enjoyable to be distracted from the circus going on behind the scenes and watch a game where to a man we never gave up and gave the crowd something to get behind like the old days under the lights.
When this club looks like it’s on its knees it always finds a way to drag itself back.
So proud of our academy players in particular today. Ness did an absolute number on Lallana, Chin was superb second half when they switched to target him, Miles put himself about against two very good defenders and AMB without a doubt stole the show.

Level & Innis played ok against B.Rovers it was just 2 bits of poor defending that let them down. They couldn't pass the ball out of defence tonight as they would have been closed down even faster.
They are both decent League 1 defenders - just some posters like to rip players to shreds.
And although this result has nothing to do with Thomas Sandgaard, imagine spending millions, only to be so pig headed you ignore feedback from people who have more experience than you and having to miss this for fear of being abused.
If he’s looking for someone to blame, I’d recommend finding a mirror big enough for his ego and having a long, hard stare.
One in the eye for those who LOL'd me for predicting a win. I told you so and what's more if we are drawn at home in the next round we will win that too.

Battery low so might cut out before finishing this post.
Great shift put in by all the lads tonight. Midfield were exceptionally brilliant with Dobbo & Fraser snapping at heels all game. Disappointed with the "strikers".....and I use that term rather loosely as none got anywhere near getting a shot off towards their goal. And the less said about Aneke the better. I saw him at half time & he was lethargically going through the warm up drills. My patience has finally ended with him.
Glad for both sons who were there with me tonight. First time they have seen us beat a Premier League side. Now just wondering who we will get on the quarter finals and whether is worth schlepping up to Manchester or Liverpool in a few weeks time. But knowing us it will be Wolves away
On the train home, without voice and feeling drained, but fecking happy.
There are some nights down the valley that are just special. Tonight wasn't like the Cardiff game under SCP all those years ago, and I wasn't at any of the playoff games recently. But the energy and emotion from our support was exceptional. THAT was Charlton support at its best. We were loud, and relentless. Brighton were incredibly quiet all game. We didn't give them space to make any noise. Lookimg around from the upper covered end, both the AC stand and lower west were invested and engaged with the energy created.
I danced amd hugged strangers when Lavelle smashed home the winner. I had a bunch of top fellas sitting around me.
I'll comment on the game tomorrow, it's inconsequential right now. Tonight was about finding our spirit again. And we done that in spades. I do want to say thank you to @Fanny Fanackapan, who I had the honour of catching up again pre game. Always a absolute pleasure.

So is the bloke with the beard the new messiah, anyone know who he is.
I see Curbs was talking to him, praps we should ask him?
“Ooh I’ve supported them for 100 years but I’m a bit unhappy now and might not spend £10 to watch us on Charlton TV.” Zzzzzzzzzzzzzz
Still on cloud 9.
Any home tie in the next round.
