I think pretty much any small to medium sized club in the league would dream of having an owner like him. And that's quite something to say about any club owner. RIP.
John Berylson was only just 70 and they are saying he died in an accident on the 4th of July. A famous day in the history of the USA. More news will no doubt clarify what happened.
17 years in which Millwall mainly over achieved during his tenure.
No massive ego involved and definitely one of the better owners around.
A Sad day for his family and friends and all Millwall fans who were lucky to have him as their owner.
What absolutely terrible news. A model owner and chairman who went quietly and highly effectively about his business, put in a huge amount of his own money into the club (as equity, I believe) and never courted the limelight, preferring instead to deflect praise to his colleagues and staff. There are so few owners of ilk left in the game and he was a quite superb custodian for the Lions. RIP
Sickening news to hear , RIP to all who know and loved him .
Next season will be the 12th in 14 for millwall to be in the second tier , that is all down to his wonderful stewardship ,fair play to him, a class act by all accounts.
