Aston Villa have been brilliant this season and are still 4th despite losing tonight. Two of their five defeats have been at the hands of Newcastle by 8-2 in total. It's been well documented that Newcastle have had anything up to a dozen injuries for periods of time but now seem to be recovering their form and will have a say at both ends of the table - next two games are Luton and Forest.
Incredible win for Luton has sucked a few teams in now. Brentford are a club that i think will be looking over their shoulders now. Their next 8 games are:
Spurs away City home Wolves away Liverpool home City away West ham away Chelsea home Arsenal away
If Luton stay up, it has to go down as one of the greatest PL achievements in all honesty. The signing of Ross Barkley has been an absolute masterstroke.

Rob Edwards only mistake was going to Watford for a season; I believe it was Autumn ? Though the payoff would've been decent.
A man who wears his heart on his sleeve and his tears on his face when Tom Lockyer had his cardiac arrest. Edwards skill to get everybody believing and playing with a great spirit is testament to his man management ability and his football nous. A human being not a robot; how long will we be able to say that in the world of AI ?
Most of us had Luton to be 22nd behind Sheff United and Burnley just staying up.
Amazing effort from the Manager, Boardroom, staff and fans to join together as little Luton fight against the behemoths of super clubs with super wealth.
My son plays cricket with a Luton season ticket holder who was at pains, when we spoke about how they were doing back in September, to say how he felt that they weren't playing as badly as their results reflected. I took that comment with a pinch of salt but perhaps he wasn't too far off the mark. He also said at that time that Doughty had been one of their best players and his influence this season as a wing back and at set pieces is there for all to see.
Not too fussed about who wins the game, but number 22 for Brentford is irritating me. Gone down like an absolute sack of shit feigning injury under virtually no contact from Richarlison twice now. Should be fucking embarrassed. As usual, commentators don’t say anything much about it. At some point the FA has to start stamping this out, even if it’s only retrospective punishments.
On 31 January 2024, Bradley scored his first Liverpool goal in a rout against Chelsea. Raheem Sterling was quoted after the game as saying "he's the finest footballer I've ever seen".

Think Brentford's no.6 must have set a new world record for the number of fouls committed after a first yellow card and not getting a second lol

Still be hilarious to see them lose and Luton win so they are close to the bottom 3.
"Brighton low key heading for 3 wins in 16 Premier League games, btw."
