Terrible given Tielemans should have scored a few mins ago anyway!!
They really should have thought about marking him
For the first goal, at the point when Watkins ran through, two United players were ahead of McGinn but watched the action play out whereas McGinn busted a gut to follow the ball. They are being reactive rather than pro-active and that really is a symptom of a side that has all but given up.
United supporters were leaving in their droves when they went 3-0 down - they'll only be Villa fans left come the end of the game!
Sheffield United are probably the worst Premier league side we've seen since Huddersfield were there a few years ago.
But defensively they could end up being the worst ever. Their current rate of just over 2.5 goals conceded per game is on track to be the worst in PL history.
Massive screw up for Palace today. Their best player Olise only fit enough for the bench with a hamstring problem, comes on at HT when they are 3-0 down, and goes off 8 minutes later injured. Lot of anger and recriminations
Eze missing today injured, Guehi then went off injured in the game, problems, problems...
We seem to hear about Ten Hag every other week, but there's been relatively little talk of Pochettino losing his job. As things stand they are 11th and not really showing any signs of improvement.
Currently spending my Sunday afternoon at Stamford Bridge. Chairman of my business almost bought the club before Boehly and the fans around me are wishing he did.
Gallagher looks abysmal, and defensively they are laughably bad.
When I did the commercials for his bid I suggested the club had to be very careful with how they handled the upcoming transfer windows. They have basically done everything we suggested not to.
3-1. Watching Chelsea this year has been a joy. I don’t think I’ve ever said that before. Their play is actually really good to watch and it invites the opposition to play attractive football too. However, I’d be lying if I didn’t acknowledge that the fact they keep getting their arses handed to them is the main reason I’m enjoying watching them. 😂
Can Chelsea afford to sack Poch? But then can they afford to miss out on European football?
Extraordinary mismanagement there. Under Frank (first time round) they had a really good core of home grown players, and just needed a couple of top signings to make them really competitive. Instead they've spent a fortune on expensive flops, sold many of their home grown players to help meet FFP rules, and still manage to not have a decent No 9.
Their midfield duo Caicedo and Fernandez cost well over £200m
Also, this transfer window might be the indicator that their FFP strategy is fucked.
I strongly believe that their decision to hand out multi year contracts to spread ffp cost was a gamble based on the player market continuing to inflate. If prices continue to rise as they have done for the last few years, the cost of those multi year contracts would shrink in real terms and ffp limits would increase to match the market. They would, effectively, get away with it.
The fact that activity in this window has dramatically reduced means the prices on the player market is now likely to come down. They’ll be stuck with those huge contracts, they won’t recoup as much money from sales of academy players and ffp limits will be frozen or, maybe, reduce further.
Shame they got one back, but notable that, apart from maybe Cole Palmer (who scored their other goal), goal scorer Thiago Silva is one of their best and most reliable players.
And Mudryk….. Arsenal must be laughing at that escape
Well, quite. I focused on Jackson because he is so indisputably shite that I can’t believe he’s playing for any premier league team, let alone one of the, ahem, big boys 😂. I’d say Mudryk has also been poor, but he does at least try to do things. He’s undoubtedly at least twice as good as Jackson, but then again, he cost them twice as much, so he’s just as much a waste of money. 😎

when Sheffield United lost 8-0 at home to Newcastle earlier this season it was still 0-0 at 20 minutes.

their last 7 games feature 5 of the top 8.
if they are still in the bottom 6 or 7 by April, they could be in big trouble.
All hail the Hen 👏
Let's hope Olise, Eze and Guehi all stay injured for the easier games coming up then...

Oh, and 1-4 to Wolves. 😎
The atmosphere at the Bridge will soon turn toxic
He's 40 this year.
