Imagine he will stick to the last tournament with Rice Bellingham Henderson, then Kane Foden and one other (Saka?) up front.
Saka is an absolute certainty to start on the right.
Left sided attacker is more open though as the likes of Grealish and Rashford are way off form. That's the only spot you can put Foden but he doesn't really play there much for City.
Bellingham has to play in an advanced midfield role surely? He can't perform all season the way he has for Madrid in that role and then you go to a tournament and have him sat deeper with Rice.
It will surely be Rice-Henderson and then Bellingham further forward.
Just the thought of Arsenal winning it makes me want to vomit , I dislike cunteta and the cuntettes so much I’d prefer the scousers to win it (would have been a tough call if they hadn’t won it recently ) just have it City and I don’t know any of their fans to annoy me but no thanks to anyone else , would like to see the spunts miss out on top 4 but think they’ll nick it
In an ideal world you'd be right, but there aren't many alternatives. Phillips will probably go if he gets a run of games at West ham but beyond that who else is there?

I'd have JWP, Barkley (in his current form) and Connor Gallagher all ahead of him.
Henderson will be just shy of 34 when the Euros roll around, we don't need experienced types when we already will have it in abundance. Kane, Tripper, Walker, Maguire, Stones, Pickford etc. I'd even add Bellingham into the mix for his character and Rice.
I'd be pissed off seeing him start, his days are gone and there are more in form players to choose from, he'll only slow us down.
Southgate seems to have adopted a 4231/433.
It would be Rice paired with either Barkley, JWP or potentially Trent, Bellingham further forward just behind Kane for me.
This may get a few lols but Saka on the right and potentially Doughty on the left wing or failing that left back, either way I'd like to see him involved. Same as Foden, need to find a way to have him involved.
I just hope he opts for the players in form currently in the prem and not his old mates.
Oh look, Mr Lego Head is outside his technical area again. Who would have guessed it... Absolute joke how he flaunts the rules and gets away with it time and time and time again.
I want to give Mainoo a try alongside Rice before the Euros. Think he could be massive for England.
Rice Mainoo
Saka Bellingham Foden
Mainoo is only 18 but the extra talented youngsters like Owen, Rooney, Bellingham and possibly Mainoo did/could bypass the 18's and 21's.
Like many managers, Southgate like the super fit water carrier types in Henderson or Phillips in the team, not slagging this type of player off as you can't have a team of ballers; unless you are Brazil 70 or many of the Man City teams under Pep. Ironic that Pep said he felt he had failed with Phillips.
When all is said and done, the cheats (City) will win another plastic title whilst we wait on the investigation, that will no doubt be brushed under the carpet for their financial cheating.
Would rather Arsenal or Liverpool for a change at least.

Mainoo has played for England U18s and 19s.
I agree he'll probably bypass the U21s though. Wouldn't be at all surprised if he's called up for the friendlies next month.
The fact Southgate watched Henderson play for Ajax means he is, unfortunately, very much in his thoughts for the Euros squad. Bloke should be nowhere near it.
I always get the feeling that Henderson is one of the leadership characters in the England squad
One of the links between Staff and Players - Yes we could take him to the Euros, not as a registered player, but then is he amongst the staff... Take that out, and do we have many other leaders in the current setup apart from Kane?
Its not just about having 23 players (or however big a squad is), and expect them to sort things out for themselves, with other individuals suddenly stepping up like robots... Am surprised... with the mess that Charlton are clearly in on the pitch at times, with the amount who step forward and make themselves counted, that people don't realise its figures you need in those types of teams, its those players we're lacking ourselves.
Hughes... Pearce... Pratley... Dobson for example over the last decade
England have a young side but there's enough experience in it to not be taking Henderson just for that.
Kane, Walker, Stones, Pickford, Shaw, Rashford, Maguire (yeah, I know), Trippier if he's picked have all been to at least 3 major tournaments. Rice has got nearly 50 caps and has played in a European final.
They aren't a bunch of 20 year old kids at a first big tournament.

Thats like saying; Gillesphey - Edmonds-Green - Ladapo - May - Edun - Bakinson should have the experience to be similar leaders themselves here... Just because a player is experienced at an International Tournament, doesnt make them a leader.
From those names mentioned; Kane and Trippier are probably other true Leaders in that team, maybe Pickford, its difficult to know without seeing what goes on behind closed doors - Rashford (and maybe even Walker given his behavour) is laughable as a suggestion in the role I'm talking about, given his attitude at Man Utd, given how much he's got in trouble with ten Haag.

But at some point being a bit of a leader/wise old head isn't enough.
You can't pick a player on that alone, and Henderson as a player isn't good enough any more.

Leaving Kane aside:
TAA is Liverpool vice captain, has previously captained them and will take over from VVD Walker is current City captain Stones has also captained them (I think?) Pickford's captained Everton Rice captained WHU in a European final 🤢 Gallagher is captaining Chelsea at the moment I think too? Trippier, Dier, Dunk, Maguire etc. are all in with a shout of going and current/former club captains (regardless of their current form or ability).
I actually think the squad is pretty well covered for leadership. Enough for me not to have Henderson on the plane for that alone.

Exactly. Most of the squad have played in European championship final and some also played in a world cup semi final. We might have a young squad, but there's tons of experience there.
Ofcourse he doesn’t mate but that doesn’t stop our prick of a manager selecting him ! Another tournament coming up where he will choke the life out of this super talented generation as soon as he plays someone decent
Henderson, i personally wouldn't take him.. although i would argue he might be on that plane just for experience, yes we have enough already in my opinion but still what sticks in my mind is last world cup when we were struggling against USA, he came on and his experience and leadership were key. So in certain situations i wouldn't write him off, although i would be more than happy if he is not on that plane.
I like TAA/ Rice / Bellingham CG/Rice/ Bellingham JWP/ Rice Bellingham Mainoo/Rice/Bellingham
all seem a lot more creative for me and probably less leggy but we will see.
Micky Van de Ven against Brentford was clocked at 10.38m per second, or 23.23 miles per hour. When sprint star Usain Bolt set the current 100m world record in 2009, his average speed was 10.44m per second, or 23.35mph (37.58 km/h).
Van de Ven is 6' 4". He is still only 22 and isn't the finished article yet but a Dutch CB partnership with VVD and Ake at LB (or even in a three) would have just about everything. And given that he cost Spurs just £35m, one suspects that one particular man is extremely excited about the potential profit in a couple of years time.

I think in a 3 with De Ligt over Ake could give the Dutch the best defence in the world. They’ve also got the likes of Botman, De Vrij and Timber. Real strength in depth in that area at a time I think the quality of defenders generally lacks.
The Dutch typically don't have a great defence, so for them it's great, but it comes around at a time that they don't have a great team in front of them. No Wesley Sneijder pulling the strings or RVP or RVN banging in goal after goal. Depay has a decent international record but it's padded out by goals against poor opposition

But I'd have him as an option from the bench to see a win out etc.
Now he's back in a proper league, he should have to win his place back, not be a shoe in
