First the Rugby now the cricket - whats going on with the boys from down under ?0

When it's going wrong it is going wrong though I have to say that his bottom hand wasn't connected to the bat or his other glove when Stoinis touches it down the legside
70-6 off 17.2

That is the worst 3rd umpire decision I've ever seen1

However, who cares lol2

You can Cummins to that list of convicts criminals for making that decision0 -
They're getting a bit screwed here, but I think they'd have lost anyway, and as it's the Aussies, f**k em.2

I believe I was right yesterday when I suggested an Oz victory may be better for England, as SA looked stronger top 4 competition.1
-
They definitely, definitely won't whinge about the umpiring decisions after this match. Definitely.
Because, there's one thing we definitely know about Australian cricketers it's that they never complain about that sort of thing. For years and years afterwards.1 -
As I said yesterday, conditions vary so much from ground to ground, that the teams that adapt the best will progress. In both their games, SA were relatively circumspect in the first 20 overs at 118-1 and 108-1 to enable them to record totals of 428-5 and 311-8 respectively. It is, though, overs 21-40, before the extra man can go out, where they have been particularly successful but they wouldn't have been able to put that foot down had they lost four or five wickets in those first 20 overs. As we've seen today, for whatever reason, batting became that much harder in the final 10 overs of the SA innings and for the whole of this one too.

Lanuschagne, with 20 off 41, looks desperate to get a bit of red ink0

Labuschagne doesn't impress me in 50 over games, far too slow.1

125-6 off 30. Australia require 187 off the final 20.0
-
Could do with SA wrapping this up sharpish just to really hammer the Aussie NRR2
-
Starc gives a bit of keeping catching practice off the bowling of Jansen for 27 (51)
139-7 off 33.30 -

A bit like Root does.1 - Sponsored links:

Labuschagne uses his feet to drive the ball straight into the hands of over off the excellent Maharaj (10-0-30-2) for 46 (74)
143-8 off 350 -
Labuschagne out2
-
The fact that Starc with just 55 runs is in 3rd place and only 18 runs off being the Australian top scorer in the tournament rather tells its own tale0
-
Why don't the South Africans have three fielders at cow/mid wicket for Cummins!!!0

177 all out and SA win by 134 runs0 -
Massive game for England next Saturday now.

NZ win the toss against Bangladesh and choose to field. Williamson is back in the team and as Ravindra has been in such sparkling form, it is Young that has to make way which looks a bit harsh on him given that he averages 42.22 in ODIs and scored 70 in his last match. Bet Australia are wishing that they had that problem!0
