  • All being well, a week's cycle trip in north west Iceland in July/Aug...failing that, it'll be the Hebridean Way cycle route at the approx the same time...
  • I have flights booked to Miami mid January. (Nothing else mind just flights -  must get on with booking somewhere to stay and a car!) And now the twonks have gone and moved the Northampton game so that I miss it. That's about £260 down the toilet on tickets, parking and hospitality.  The EFL needs to get a grip with just not having fixtures for (at least) L1 clubs on international weekends. They can't piss people about like this.
  • A week in Tenerife in late February - other plans for next year still in the pipeline but likely some long haul stuff during my first year of retirement!

Probable weekend in Majorca with the lads in Sept for my 50th
  • We are making the short drive with friends from where we live in the Algarve to firstly Cadiz in Spain for 3 nights then on to Gibraltar for another couple of days. Going in mid March, never been to either before so looking forward to it.
  • India in March
    Minehead butlins in November
Oooh were you going in India? I miss it so.

A week with my bestie in Kos in September. First time I will have been there.

Will be planning various trips over to see the mighty Addicks too now my blue passport has arrived 😜

I went to a few soul weekenders at Prestatyn in the 80’s, saw some great bands there. Fatcback, Maze, Whispers, Roy Ayers etc. Met a local girl at one of them and went out with her for a while. Realised what a bloody depressing place it is when I went up and stayed with her.
  • She blew you out, didn’t she 😀
  • Booked 7 days in Golf del Sur in March and 3 nights at The Albion in Broadstairs where we stayed last June, taking in 2 T20 matches in Canterbury.

Nothing flashy or expensive but suits us oldies fine.
  • Hoping to visit my brother in California next year, if all goes to plan!

I thought I’d start next year’s holidays//travel plans as I tend to be on the road quite a lot lately. And so while waiting to go out for dinner I was thinking about next year:
South America again: Columbia, Panama, Chile, Peru (maybe Aruba/Curaçao) to start the year off.
    France/Italy May/June
    London July August
    Australia(?) October/Nov

Of course all subject to remaining healthy.

    What plans do you have?
    Slight change of travel plans:

    - Gran Canaria next week.
    - February/March - Colombia, Guatemala, Nicaragua, Honduras, El Salvador, Costa Rica, Panama, Colombia.

  • Just booked a 14 day P&O cruise for June 2025. Southampton, Edinburgh, Kirkwall, Stornaway, Belfast, Liverpool, Cork, then home.

    Done most of that.
Favourites, Antiqua climbing volcanos & beautiful food. Granada wonderful scenery & beautiful food especially a restaurant run by a geezer who is the spit of Bradley Cooper. Monteverde wildlife & doing the zip wires, if I can do it anyone can. La Fortuna horse riding up a volcano just magical.
    San Jose just felt historical.
We did Hondorus & I would avoid at all cost (if possible). We had to stop to get to an Island (Omotepi I think) but it was the most dangerous place I’ve ever been to.
    You’ll have a great time.
    Enjoy!
