Had a good few days at Butlins Bognor last week. I know its some peoples idea of hell but my kids continue to love it. And if they’re happy, I’m happy 👍
I've been 2-3 times. Like you say the kids loved it so I did too. The other big highlight for me as an overweight man was that, based on the others there, I felt slim for the first time in years.

That's me booked in for the summer. Sounds easier than a diet!
Off on a 7 night Carribean cruise to Mexico, Belize, and Honduras in a couple weeks. First time off since our honeymoon exactly one year ago. A much needed break
Honduras? Where exactly?
I travelled in Central America early this year and went to Copan in Honduras. Only a brief visit but I enjoyed the Mayan ruins. Also in Belize last year but what I saw there I wasn’t that impressed with either Caye Caulker or Livingston which might be a stop on your cruise. Flores, River Dulce, Ignacio were more enjoyable
I went to Roatan. Beautiful island but Honduras is fecking scary. Riding shotgun is real there. We had an armed guard wherever we went 😳
Just back from a fabulous week in Woolacombe. Had sunshine and blue skies for six days out of seven, discovered some great new walks on Exmoor and round Mortehoe, and ate like kings. Rufus is totally done in, looking forward to a couple of days doing nothing. Whippets aren't built for distance so north of fifty miles in a week is a lot for him.
As an aside, discovered Teal services on the A303 on the return drive today. A little bit pricey, but a beautifully maintained rustic style farm shop and cafe with a big field for dogs to stretch their legs, lots of local high quality products and easy access. Highly recommended.
After a shit 12 months where the MIL who lived with us fought and lost a battle with cancer, we have booked a summer holiday to Rhodes. Going Hotel Sun Palace in Faliraki. Onsite water park for the kids which is basically all they want from a holiday these days.
Apparently Faliraki is more of a family resort these days but might have a pop down one night to Bar Street and Club Street and pretend we are 30 years younger
@IdleHans we stayed at a lovely holiday park at Woolacombe about 5 years ago. Only time I’ve been that part of Devon, loved it there and would love to return

It has so much going for it. We've had many holidays there over about 25 years, two this year already, and intend to move down permanently when Mrs Idle packs up work.
Not a holiday as such but meeting up with my best mate from school in Clun next weekend for a bit of walking and a lot of beer. Don't know that area at all but it looks great, so looking forward to it immensely

which school in Clun did you go to, and where are you meeting your mate ?
Just back from two weeks in Benalmadena, first time I have done mainland Spain apart from a weekend in Benidorm, gotta say it is a beautial coastline and the marina is spectacular.
Anyone used No1 lounge at Gatwick? Cant seem to find it any cheaper than £44pp so not entirely sure it would be worth it! Any suggestions/ recommendations welcome!

Used it a few times. It's OK (unlimited drink!) and food is passable. Can get quite busy in main section but depending on whether you're with kids and they're over 12 you can go into less busy sections. Not entirely sure it's worth the cost but it is more comfortable than waiting around in the main departure lounge and handy for us having younger kids.

Thanks for the info ! Is the lunch time food, buffet style or is it only one plate per person ?

It's a buffet set up. We've tended to use it when flying earlier so couldn't say what the lunch offering is like. Breakfast options are usually pretty good (fry up, pancakes, pastries etc).

Flying home from Tenerife today, we're frequent visitors but no problems at all with any anti tourism stuff, restaurants seem a little quieter but that suits us as we have resident friends to meet.
Eldest son (18) on first lads holiday with 8 other space cadets to Ayia Napa and we had a bit of a surprise when their Easy Jet flight had them landed here
But they weren’t there I looked later and he was here
I’ve looked again this morning and he’s back at Beirut airport

This refers to the Bognor posts

Didn't even mention it does look like the terracing at Fratton Park.
Take a fantastic break from the stresses of watching cricket & football - at international level anyway.
Enjoy x
