Kent 254 all out. Severin top score with 74 (115) and Oliver Curtiss hit a run-a-ball 69 - who Seb played against on Saturday and is just a matter of 42 and 43 years younger respectively than his club mates namely former Kent cricketers Darren Stevens and Ben Trott
Must be great for a young prem cricketer to be able to learn from Stevo
Curtiss certainly learnt one thing from Stevo which resulted in the veteran giving youngster the teapot in no small measure on Saturday. They ran a two, Stevo was going to the danger end and would have comfortably been home anyway, but somehow Curtiss failed to make his ground at the other end.
Wes Agar is rested for out game starting tomorrow away to Somerset. Presumably Garrett or Qadri will come in for him. Charlie Stobo has also arrived and will be available from 20th May for all formats.
Would expect some changes to the Sussex 2s side that's currently playing Kent - Sean Hunt and Oli Carter will come out as they're with the firsts.
Stewart and Qadri have left the game too. Off for bad light with Sussex on 234-6 and a lead of 291. It remains to be see if Archer actually does rock up tomorrow.

How long is agar here for? F**k resting him. Let him earn his money, he can rest on the long flight home

I suspect that this is about game management in the sense that he is possibly carrying a niggle. Only Parkinson has bowled more overs that he has to date and he's actually with us 'til the end of July for all formats - what goes on after that is mostly second class cricket anyway.
Leach and Bashir are both in Somerset's squad for the game. Either it will be a bunsen burner or the likes of McCullum and Key are going to be throwing their toys out of the pram.

The last game there 2 weeks ago was a seamer's paradise, so it would be quite a change if the next pitch was a ciderabad special!

You're not wrong! We have no front line spinners in the side and Somerset have just Leach. Stewart and Garrett in for Agar and Parkinson. Kent have won the toss and elected to bowl.
In total disagreement with the resting of agar, stobbo is around next week, why couldn’t have he been rested next week?
What’s the point of having an overseas when we have to rest him every other match?
Management have a lot to answer for with this rotation, seems a tad over the top in my personal opinion
As I say, the way this has been done suggests to me that Agar is carrying an injury. Let's not forget that Jas was brought in at the last minute for one game when he had to be omitted because of a "niggle". From now on we have three overseas available and it will be interesting to see if Agar or Stobbo comes in or not.
Lammonby dropped by Crawley off the bowling of Stewart. Poor Grant hasn't got a wicket all season for anyone - that's the last thing he needed!!!
Pretty sure it came off his thigh
Having looked at it again, I think you're right - it was Crawley on the ground looking a bit forlorn that made me think it was an edge but I think he was studying his finger for a potential injury!

But the commentators are talking about it being a catch Crawley really should have taken - perhaps it hit both!
Muyeye us out for 9 to go with his first baller in the first innings. The bowler wasn't Archer but Campbell who I have been really impressed with - the left armer was released by Hants last season and has figures of 5-48 in the game to date.

T20 match and free entry I believe.
We're looking forward to supporting our lads at our local ground.
