Not sure I can put myself with watching Somerset put it to the boundary every ball, so off out to do some shopping. Real village bowling once again from everyone so far
Muyeye us out for 9 to go with his first baller in the first innings. The bowler wasn't Archer but Campbell who I have been really impressed with - the left armer was released by Hants last season and has figures of 5-48 in the game to date.
Seam bowling is a bit of a weakness at Sussex , if we don't have Robinson or Seales/ the other overseas seamers available there's not a lot of quality there.
i must say, I was expecting swanepoel to be quicker than what I have seen thus far. Not rushing the batsmen at all compared to the videos I saw on YouTube of him

You probably saw him on much faster decks than this one. Even Archer isn't looking that quick.
To demonstrate how badly Stewart could have done with that wicket, his figures this season for the 1s and 2s are 85-17-278-0. I hope posting this will now get him a hat-trick!

And there it is - bowls Lammonby some 60 plus runs after he was dropped
This is beyond pathetic. Does anyone know if we are the county in division 1 who have spent the longest on the field? Looking to be another 100 over plus this
Well since I live fairly close went along today. Think that's the first time I've seen Kent in the flesh since 1970's at Blackheath. Somehow it felt like the cricketing equivalent of CAFC towards the end of the Appleton era (but four times longer). In ten or so years of watching games at Taunton never seen anyone score a hundred (though saw two Surrey players get out on 99 last year) until today 🙈
Massive call to leave out Parky, especially with Leaning and his offspin missing. I'm assuming the pitch is much flatter than the one for Somerset's last match.
Realistically I am rarely going to be able / willing to get to Canterbury for a day's play so its not worth me being a member. But I enjoy the stream and watch it quite a lot. I would be happy to buy a streaming membership at a reasonable price and thus contribute to the coffers.

75-2
116-3
Need Crawley and Compton to earn their money too.
I think this shows Kent's problems with financing recruitment.

For all its history, the St Lawrence ground isn't ideally located, Canterbury is a small city, and away from Kent's largest areas of population.
