  • It's a tad damp here

Oh dear! Sorry to hear about that. I have the same issues. Do you happen to know what it's like in Canterbury?
  • Sun's out
  • There's even a rainbow! Covers being taken off
  • They've just said on Sky that there is an inspection at 7.30 with the toss shortly afterwards
  • 13 over game. Be nice if still 6 overs powerplay but imagine it won't work that way. 4 perhaps

    3.5 over PP
  • Why do they have this shite scoreboard up when it's on tv
  • Will we chase what they get or will it be DLS adjusted? Hope not!

    Not unless there's rain. It's a straight 13 overs a side game.

  • Absolutely shambolic bowling so far.
  • Had a look at the score and saw 6 wides and a leg bye in 2.3 overs
  • Much improved after those first two horrendous overs. Enjoyed that runout!
  • 11 an over over their 1st 7. 77/3
  • What a weird crowd.
    Silence for excellent cricket shots.
Applaud good cricket you one-eyed fools.
  • Jas was looking okay for a moment. Then, that
  • Why are none of the experienced pros not putting an arm round Singh here? He's  clearly having a shocker but nobody seems to be calming him down and supporting him. Utter shambles.

To be fair this is better than I have seen him bowl previously

He was hurried to bowl the second over because, overall, we were behind time and didn't want us to receive a penalty.
  • Gilchrist returning to some form at the end of the blast has been a silver lining to a really crap campaign

Nah, they should be chanting "sheep sheep sheep shaggers" non stop for 3 hours  ;)

Plus Muyeye with the bat in the last couple of games
  • 10 defeats in 13 games...

Last season we won 7 out of 14 games, so a serious and worrying decline.
  • A rather predictable result. We will now finish bottom of the Blast table as we are likely to do in the CC.

The 50 over comp starts soon albeit that we will lose Billings, Crawley, DBD and Muyeye to that other competition. If Joe Denly remains injured then one can only guess what our top six is likely to look like. We will probably need a loan or to play Jaydn and/or Ekansh.
  • I know he’s an Aussie but I really like Labuschagne his keenness for the game is infectious .

Is it 2 for a no ball , how much for a wide , I think I saw   , how longs that been going on and in what formats is that ?
  • some sadistic bastard took the Upbeats to see the current shambling ruin masquerading as Kent CCC get humped by Gloucestershire
precisely what had they done to deserve that?
  • Kent confirmed to be getting a Tier 2 women’s team. Will play 50 & 20 over cricket. No promotion/relegation until 2029.
  • Mark Dekker has been appointed Head Coach for the 50 over comp as Walker is at that other comp. He was one of Seb's age group coaches and is a good bloke. Opened the batting for Zimbabwe in the same team as the Flower brothers without any great success but did once score 68 in the first innings and carry his bat for 68* in the second innings against the Pakistan bowling attack of Wasim Akram and Waqar Younis
  • Ekansh Singh has signed a rookie contract and will go straight into the 50 over squad. Ekansh is a very talented batsman who can bowl a bit of medium pace but is far more of a batsman that a bowler. Saw him first as a 13 year old playing and the talent was there for all to see and then later when he played with Seb as a younger member of the Kent U18 team. He hasn't necessarily consistently transferred that into big scores (and struggled this season in the Kent League but then so many do on club pitches) but he is only just 18 and has time on his side. Like Jaydn he will need time to develop and we shouldn't expect too much too early. Not that he isn't capable of doing so now, it's just that sometimes it takes a bit longer for all the parts of the game to come together.
  • Come on
    Wake up you lot
