It’s interesting to look at the backgrounds of some of Peterboro’s players, eg Mason-Clark, Poku, Randall etc. Doesn’t look like they would have paid high fees for them. I guess that’s what happens when you have had stable ownership and good scouting in place for a period of time.
We had identified Randall at the same time as Peterborough but he didn’t want to come here because we were/are a basket case.

We have to get that reputation sorted as quickly as we possibly can.
Re: Randall, I seem to remember Gallen saying they wanted too much. His reasoning was "Randall hasn't played enough L2 games to warrant their asking price" or something.
  • Yeah Exeter wanted high 6 figures for Randall off of half a season in League 2. Poku was playing Isthmian Prem before going to Colchester and Mason-Clarke came from Barnet. The talent is out there in non League and I'm surprised we never try to take advantage of it.

I don't think Randall is that good. A long way short of Mason-Clarke who was the difference on Saturday along with Edwards
  • I thought Randall looked class.

A lot of it must be down to Barry Fry and his connections

Interesting that Edun gets his highest score of the season when he's not playing behind CBT. I wouldn't call any of the criticism of him harsh so far, but playing behind Calvin is a thankless task!

Going forwards, he hasn't had much opportunity to show what he's about when he feeds CBT, goes to make the overlap, only for Calvin to turn on the afterburners and leave Edun and everyone else eating his dust.

And going the other way he's been exposed, because CBT ranks as the league's lowest winger in terms of defensive contribution.

Now we're switching to a 352, I think we might see more of what he can bring to the table.
    Who’s Calvin?

    Short for Corey
  • Even if we win Saturday, we can only move up one place, providing Lincoln lose. We have to go on a good run of wins to make any impressions on the league

    19 points from play offs
7 points from 3rd and 4th bottom who both have a game in hand .
I'm tending to look more down than up at the table

Expect the top 6 to really kick on and leave huge gap between them and Stevenage & Blackpool. Still expect us to finish the season strong and be up in 9th. Potentially, finish higher 7th or 8th depending on when Stevenage and Blackpool start their summer holidays.
