A performance with heart and ability, two things missing for months. In the grand scheme of things a point is not enough, but an unexpected point and signs of improvement give me hope of staying up. COYRs
I thought before these 3 games we needed 3 points min and ideally 4+. This means we need to win one of next two. A decent point away at probably the hardest place in L1 to go. Should give the players belief at least. However we need to win to get that monkey off our back and we need to defend better as you should be winning games you score 3 goals in. Happy, of course but the table still looks awful.
Nathan Jones is getting more out of these players in just a couple of weeks than Appleton ever could. The way the players celebrated together when we scored showed to me they are up for the fight. Shame Appleton never got replaced sooner but it is what it is. Give Jones proper backing in the summer and I'm sure he will get us promoted. COYA.
As I said on the match thread, this looks like a different Charlton team now. Stronger, higher work rate, won't get bullied, won't let the opposition settle. The full backs/wing backs look better - Watson has improved, (Ramsay looked good on Tuesday), Small had a great debut, and although the goal was lucky it was a brilliant early cross on his wrong foot. I thought we might get something from the game, but Bolton looked very good at times in the second half, and it's an excellent away point at arguably the best team in the League.
Disappointing result... but in a bittersweet way, it's actually the "right" kind of disappointed - that a good performance wasn't rewarded with 3 points, instead of the disappointment when Charlton somehow contrive to be even worse than expected.
Jones made some very big calls today - starting Small and putting May on the bench paid off, most of the actual subs were astute but perhaps a bit too late.
That said, keep playing like that and we'll be okay.
Expected nothing from this match so delighted with a point. Given how the game played out it's a shame we couldn't hold on to one of our leads and do even better.
However, rot hopefully stopped and we can get the required points to carry us to safety.
Best performance for many many months. Like Small a great deal, in fact the whole team played well. NJ has begun to stamp his mark on this side, Kanu and Anderson excellent, Chucks superb, Ladapo getting better, Coventry, Dobbo played well together. Isted better than AMB! Now get a point or 4 from the next 2 games, and let's push away from the relegation area. New found optimism in the squad I think, and why oh why did we stick with Appleton for so bloody long??? Happy with a battling performance tonight!!
I did not watch or follow the game , so must ask how is a fantastic performance when we conceed3 goals and end up drawing 3 all after being 2-1 according to the BBC summary on line.

Proper manager. It’s so imperative we stay up for obvious reasons but I think also that Jones will get us up next season. He knows exactly what he’s doing. At last we’ve got the right pieces of the puzzle. Shame Andy Scott left it so late to fire the abysmal Appleton, leaving us in a right hole
Finally, a manager that's not afraid to use the "dark arts" to soften the opposition. For years now we've seen teams come to us and frustrate us with these tactics.
Also, how much of a homer was the ref today? He seemed almost determind to give everything against us, so I was genuinely shocked when he allowed Kanu's goal to stand.
Although Kayne Ramsey didn't play today, we might have found ourselves two full backs, with Small giving us something different on the left side today. Also, have a look at the average age of the team today, Lapado, Thomas and Isted being our most experienced starters.
Just on the train back. I thought Bolton were the better footballing side but the effort and desire from every man in Charlton shirt was unmatched. Academy boys in particular were superb but I think they all did a job today.
The table still doesn't look pretty but there was a fight in the team today that I haven't seen all season. Next 2 games are big but March is huge. I think we'll pinch another point this coming Saturday and then go on a run after Derby.
We played today with a fight and determination that has been missing for most of the last 3 years. If we can carry on like that for the next 13 games we should be OK. But I say should because let's not be in any doubt we are still in a perilous situation.
Daniel Kanu was simply outstanding today. An incredible workrate topped off with a good goal.
Top marks for Nathan Jones for the team he picked today and the way that in only a couple of weeks he seems to have put new life into the team. I hope he sticks with the midfield 3 of Dobson, Coventry and Anderson that he played today. The midfield was definitely improved with no Bakinson. Equally, leaving out May couldn't have been an easy decison but it was the right one.
Only slight criticism is that I wished he had used the subs 5 minutes earlier as Bolton were well on top before they got their 3rd goal and we could have done with slowing it down a bit. But that's nit-picking to an extent.
A great Point against the best home record in the league, and with this manager and squad that is getting stronger, with improving Confidence we will not Go down as we are far better than that !!! COYR 👍👍
Excellent point on the road and the biggest thing for me is how we've seen an improvement game on game since Jones came in, whole week to keep working ahead of Pompey which we can go into with a bit of confidence
Massive point and a confidence boosting performance. Well done Jones and the boys who played like men for a change especially the boys like Kanu,, Small and Anderson.
At some point surely we are going to keep a clean sheet?
As much as second half against Lincoln and today on the whole has been encouraging - we are not going to get ourselves out of trouble unless we can improve the defensive lapses.

Tell me you don’t understand football without telling me you don’t understand football

(He also twice said we took the lead three times, but hey ho.)

Comes across as such a well rounded individual.

Hope we didn't leave it too late.

Hopefully onwards and upwards starting next week.

Could be very important come the end of season.
When was the last time we did that?
Karoy & Daniel were outstanding.
Tiny Tel, I loves him.
The Bolton fans are whingeing.
Whats occurring 😂😂😂😂
