Good to see an opposing manager giving us some credit....not
What a load of old shite spouted by Evatt. Their player definitely did not bang his head for our 3rd goal. He landed on his back & feigned injury in an attempt to get the game stopped.
There's absolutely no question re our third goal. their player did NOT hit his head. he just fell on his arse and play acted. my only surprise is that the cnut of a ref didnt fall for it and brandish another yellow card in the process
Great point, great from Anderson and Kanu, great shithousery from Isted and great to see Small play well and last 90+ mins. Just great.
Didn't see the game so what's with all the shithousery comments ? (please) What was he up to ?
Going down injured a couple of times in added time which brought the trainer on broke up play and their momentum. Just like other teams seem to always do to us.

Isted got a couple of knocks and made a meal of them staying down for treatment (just like every other club does, but never us because we were too soft). (Jason Pearce used to).
Just back and the most I have enjoyed an away game for a long while. Bolton are a very good side, no doubt, even without Santos and Charles, but we came to disrupt their promotion bid while snaffle something in our fight against the drop.
Kanu was magnificent, Anderson beyond his years and Small (other than his early error) provided one of the most encouraging debuts in recent times. Nathan Jones going bonkers when the players were failing to deliver the basics was a pleasure to see. He feels how we do and in there we have an immediate bond. This is what good management looks like… Bring on Pompey!

Was just going to post the same. Looked like the ref got that spot on, definitely not a head injury.
Wasn’t there, didn’t watch the stream so can’t really comment on the team performance or individual performances but sounds like we gave it a right old go and a point away to one of the best teams in the league isn’t to be sniffed at. Need to pick up a win soon though and seeing as we are Pompey’s bogey team hopefully it’ll be next Saturday.
If we went to Bolton today, with Appleton still in charge, we would have been slaughtered
BUT we didn’t get slaughtered
We had, grit, determination, desire, workrate, application, some skill at times
We had goals in us, we pressed, we never gave up
Yes, squeaky bum time at times, some last ditch defending at times, but bloody hell what a stint they ALL put in, against one of the best teams in Lge shite
That is the CAFC I know and love today - rarely has a point made me so happy to witness - Bolton fans who saw them dismantle us at The Valley must have been rubbing their eyes in amazement
We were 1-0 up, then 2-1 up, then 2-2, then 3-2 down, AND we kept on going and got 3-3
Fucking love this - fighting spirit, and AT LAST some shithousery by us - the division we are in you have to - at times - be utter gits
Kanu MoM by a country mile - excellent
My only gripe - he put subs on 5 to 10 mins too late
Saturday evening and CAFC have given me a warm glow - long time since I’ve felt like this
Lady Flash, to the bedroom …..
Which leaves you in the living room with the remote control. Clever!

Couldn't agree more. The Trotter's made a pig's ear of the whole thing.

Oh the irony from Evatt... Seeing that Adebayao and Jones did clash heads in the first half, the referee didn't stop the game (Jones didn't go down, but concentrated on defending, whilst you could see him briefly holding his head), and Bolton almost scored from it
Obviously it’s harder to see from a still image, but here is the part where he clearly looks up at the referee to try and claim a foul, before being ignored and then rolling around holding the back of his head (which he didn’t land on).
Evatt claimed ‘He has clearly landed on his head, he was clearly holding his head. He is down on the floor and we know the impact of head injuries and how serious they can be.
“The referee has told me he sat up. I watched the footage back because I had the benefit after the game and he didn’t, at any stage.’
The fact that Evatt says he has watched the footage back, which is as clear as day, and still claims these things makes his comments even more bitter.

Lincoln did it incessantly on Tuesday, especially after we scored our goal which killed any momentum we had. It’s not pretty, but if you can’t beat ‘em join ‘em and I’m glad we did yesterday.
We were waiting to go out to the Battersea Light Festival and in danger of missing train waiting for our result to come from through.
The sheer utter pain of staring at that bottom line of Sky Sports vidiprinter just waiting for it to come up with a Bolton goal in the 90-10 minute and ruining our day and then evening…
Supporting Charlton currently feels like you’re permanently in a damaged relationship and just waiting for your partner to cheat or be a loon.
Anyway, great point. The inability to not concede goals even with the opponents main striker missing remains a huge problem. We need to stop this.
The perfect shithouse performance from us yesterday that was just missing a win. Felt a bit deflated that we didn’t win, which is a big change from the last few months. Big performance and proud of the boys, Bolton are no mugs and I feel confident we can get a result against Pompey and Derby then focus on the 11 or so cup finals after that. UTA!!

Haha, big baby. Best manager in the league my arse. The best manager in the league is at the mighty Reds, and the league is lucky he wasn't here from the start.
It's nice to read comments of bitterness and us being dirty for a change. We have been a tame, meek side for far too long. That's why so many teams have rocked up to the Valley and claimed all the points, and why we can't go away and get a result. Jones is the type of manager that puts a stop to that in the long term I'd say.
I've longed for a Charlton side to have a bit about them, since the Bowyer promotion season truth be told. I really hope we can all be excited and proud to announce ourselves as Charlton fans again soon, as frankly, the last few seasons we haven't had much to sing about.
Roll on Pompey, look forward to a trip to the Valley for a change.
I don’t want to incur the wrath of @lancashire lad and clog up the player ratings with comments there. But it’s amazing that, in a match that is almost certainly our best performance of the season, we have two young academy products fighting it out for man of the match (Kanu and Anderson).
It shows how proud we should be of our academy, how much trouble this club would be without it and how much our future depends on making sure it’s protected.

Fully deserved. The pair of them were different class yesterday.

Erm….. we were 1-0 down 2-1 up 2-2 then 3-2 up before they equalised
Yes - realised that this morning - in my defence I was very pissed when I posted that - now edited it - but thank you !!!

If Jones continues to improve us then it'll be quite enjoyable as well.

Heroic.
Same players. Different team.
the complete opposite to Appleton in fact.

Too little too late I fear.
if we can maintain that we will pull away from danger I have no doubt at all.
