Doesn't inspire much hope, but tournament football is a different game.

Germany also losing makes me feel a bit better about it.

No Bellingham or Saka, possibly our two most important players after HK.

No need to panic. On any other day Pickford saves that easily, Kane tucks away the shot from six yards out and we’re one nil up.

Would like to see a few of ours, especially the defenders, take it a bit more seriously though…

Palmer and Gordon very good, Kane decent (apart from the miss) and the rest are acting as if they would rather not be there.

Not sure what to make of that.

One shit goal conceded but highlights the break of press is a serious problem. Brazil did it for fun in March and it was embarrassing. You can see why Southgate loved Phillips ffs.

Once again we go into a major tournament with a crap defence. Ramsdale is so poor went down like a sack of spuds.

Mainoo literally watched the player run in front of him and jogged back.

Not sure he's the guy to fill that role.

Scotland is 0-0 if anyone cares?

with regards to England, I think a fit pope is your No2 and while Ramsdale probably won’t be called upon, he needs to be sharp and he simply hasn’t played enough for that

we have enough professional footballers in this country that we shouldn't be talking about "their last full game was in february"

    fucked off with it now.

Yeah it’s a problem. Exactly why the Foden Rice Bellingham mob make me laugh can you imagine the protection for that defence. Gallagher was better at it on Monday but I don’t trust him or taa much either.

Palmer and Foden have an England shirt on and suddenly can't do the things they've been doing all year - shock.

Missing Saka hugely. Down the right Palmer just disappears the moment Walker gets the ball and ends up standing in Foden's role.

England always look to me like they are prancing around thinking they are well it, thinking ‘look at us, we are like France, Spain and Brazil’. Strolling around - trying to look cool whilst doing it.

But in reality - being a bit shit.

Out of nowhere - this golden generation squad is packed full of mid table prem players.

Just tuned in and this is shite. Echo the above comment, awash with mid table players.

    Look shocking at the back.

Saka immediately dropping the shoulder and showing up Gordon -
