There is no way a tournament winning side has Marc Guehi, Ezri Konsa, Lewis Dunk etc as centre back options. I think we need a real reality check in expectations. No way in a million years should we be anywhere near favourites.

Are we?
That’s just betting. Does anyone who understands football actually think we are going to win the tournament?

If he didn't play for Man United would a 19 year old that has played 24 Premier League games be in the starting 11 in such an important role, after only starting 1 England game before?

Nothing to do with playing for united the kid is class....
Massive overreaction will follow, but don’t mind curbing the enthusiasm We got Bellingham to come back and tournament football at a higher intensity will help. We put 6 past Iran first game last time. Shite but roll on next Sunday.

Great with the ball but is he showing that he can control a game and break down opposition play?
Hasn't shown that here. He's playing defensive mid after all.

Yeah, I remember you saying something similar about 19 year old Bukayo Saka in 2020 This was when he’d had just one full season and two England friendlies before playing in the nations league for England. Then just one more international friendly before being a regular starter in the euros. Where we finished as runners up.

Oh no. You didn’t. Because he’s Arsenal.
1. He'd played two full seasons before the Euros. 2. He didn't play the first two games in those Euros and got a chance after the poor Scotland performance, Foden started ahead of him.

He’s been poor tonight. Would not be in my starting line up against Serbia.

I'd have us as third or fourth most likely - still think France v Germany final, and Portugal and us maybe the other semi finalists.
There's no standout team thus year, and despite tonight we've still got a decent chance - think the attack will come good, despite tonight, but the defence still worries me!
