He's our new Mark Reid, now we just need a new John Humphries, unless the old one fancies a comeback.
Yeah, and along with a new John Humphries we could do with another new Derek Hails, Mark Kinseller, Richard Roofus or Clive Mendooza.

    La Bamba.

It wasn’t a particularly serious suggestion though. :-)

Clears up the darts thing and a good reaction to seeing The Valley too, seems a nice lad overall
He’s got a wee bit of swagger about him. Marks off for chewing gum with his mouth open.

    Modern poetry innit.

    Sounded better than:

    'Feel his rightful cosh'

    Although:

    'Cosh Josh, cosh, josh, cosh'

is prob better but could be a tongue twister.

Can’t have to LWB with a chant to the same tune, either that or we have to have a chant per position and fit the players around it

Best so far, but I reckon if we brainstorm we can do better.
  • Seems a nice guy based on that vid with Tracey

    O Josh of Scotland
    Runs down the wing
It's lucky he wasn't born in AD 1368 to 1644
    During the dynasty of Ming
The first two lines are good, but you need to work on the finish.

Luke Berry surely has an easy song to sing after he scores.
To the tune of 'Thank You Very Much (for the Aintree Iron)

    Thank you Berry much
Thank you Berry Berry Berry much
Thank you Berry Berry Berry much.
  • Very accurate pigeons to shit down his suit in parallel lines
  • Tbh I’ve absolutely no idea how the standard of the Scottish 2nd and 3rd tiers compare to us.

Anyone know if he is a similar or different style of player to Thierry Small? As they’ll most likely be competing for the same spot
2nd tier up there, League 1 down south.
The Scottish Championship is worse than League One.

So it will be a step up for the guy.
  • Just caught up with the video, seems a nice lad and doesn’t seem fazed that he’s making a big move from home to an area he doesn’t know with no mates to turn to. Let’s hope he has the strength of character to adapt and thrive.

Yeah I think so. It’s completely possible that he can step up, but English L1 will be a higher level than he’s used to. For comparison, Portsmouth who won L1 would smash Dundee Utd who won the Scottish Championship. Dundee Utd’s star striker is Louis Molt, an English guy who couldn’t get a game at Burton in L1.

I went to see Partick Thistle v Airdrie a few months back in the Scottish Championship. Both teams challenging for promotion, Thistle actually ended up in the playoff final. Charlton would beat either team and we finished in about 80th place or something in L1.

I absolutely love Scottish football, and for a nation of 5 or 6 million it’s incredibly impressive. But in comparison to a country 10 times the size with much richer leagues there’s always going to be a difference in quality (and the difference is vast).
