Not a gambler but sounds good odds to me. Get on it before we win our first six games and the odds go down 😂

Wait till after the 4-1 defeat to Wigan, then lump on.

Yep , when I’m positive it carries some weight
Are you positive enough to have a bet on us getting promoted this year mate ? I’m in a hole after going pretty big the last 2 years after believing the bollox spouted by TS 😂 so I need to go bigger this year to recoup 😜
I’m the worlds worst gambler so gave up over ten years ago .
i would back us top half that’s buying money and prolly top 6 and maybe top Two odds dependent
we won’t win the league 16s is too skinny I’d  want 25s for that

a decent keeper signed would change that , the 3 we have now have ponage written all over them

Did we not win 3-2 last Season…?
  • It's interesting how much this Docherty signing felt like a watershed moment in terms of people's perception of our summer. Up to that point we'd brought in 6 players but there was still quite a lot of concern that we hadn't done enough. Once we'd got the surprise Docherty signing though it felt like we let go of the Dobson angst and suddenly it looked like we had a proper squad even though we're still fairly short of quality in goal and in central defence. I guess part of it is that we've had such a pathetic midfield for so long and now Berry, Coventry and Docherty looks a lot better but it's interesting how just one additional name can totally shift a narrative.
Doherty might offset the loss of Dobson - he might even be better - who knows ? Mitchell replaces Hector - hopefully better .  Mansion - who knows ? Edwards - who knows ? Looks like the long time Small replacement to me.  Godden has good pedigree but he will do well do replace May. Berry looks the one player that will have improved the squad.  I really hope Z Mitchell has kicked on - that could be the game changer .

Assume from his username he’s not in Scotland.

Whether the squad is better in overall quality is probably hard to say at this point but it's definitely now a squad of players that Jones actually wants and buy into the vision and beliefs he's after. There's a few more leaving I'm sure and probably one or two more inbound later on but this is now Jones' squad.

I'm not saying that the likes of May and Dobson didn't have the right attitude of course but at least both have been replaced by players the manager actually wants, in time for actual preseason and not by D-list loanees at 10:59 on August 30th like previous windows.

Haha you've got me thinking there..... what's going to replace my 'absurdly hopeful' feeling of the last few August 30th's............ I'd settle for 'comfortably smug' after a great start to our season  :)
  • Had the captain’s armband for the second half yesterday…

"Quietly confident" would be good enough for me. Or even "justifiably" hopeful instead of absurdly!

His brother-in-law is in Perth, Western Australia. Not Perth, Scotland @Gribbo.
