What , that’s ridiculous, you have to boo everyone who leaves your club I thought 🤷‍♂️
Because we’ve spent the last 5 years with squad filled with twats instead with people like Docherty. I actually doubt there’s anyone from this current squad who would get booed if we were to play against them
TC probably would but then he gets booed playing for us
You and others continue to peddle this bullshit.

Singing his name before he came on yesterday. He couldn't even recognise the fans for his third place in POTY. He has a design fault which is why he always flatters to deceive and his body language is so awful. I guess it's a mental health issue.

In years to come Campbell being booed out of the club will be the new Curbishley had taken us as far as he could.
How is it bullshit? I’ve literally heard it and people singing fucking useless at him. Why would I make it up and if others are saying the same then it’s clearly not bullshit

Never knew being incredibly shy and reserved is now classified as a mental health issue. He struggles to give more than one word answers in interviews he does with Mendez in a closed space if he struggles with that how on earth is he going to feel comfortable being down on a pitch as a main focus in front of thousands upon thousands of people he doesn’t know.

Begs the question of how he’d cope if he ever got a move to say Tottenham and 50k crowds or heaven forbid Millwall and their fans. If he’s an introvert, doesn’t like being the centre of attention and doesn’t like crowds of people he doesn’t know then maybe he’s in the wrong profession.

A lot of musicians are introverts, but they do it probably through loving it, possibly being good at it and maybe .wanting to express themselves.

Cannot this be the same with footballers?

But your talking about his shyness affecting how he plays football, just because he doesn’t like talking or interacting with fans/media  doesn’t make him a worse player on the pitch. I’d much rather have a TC someone who’s just shy in general opposed to a Onel Hernandez who’s really sociable and outgoing

Played a part in our survival and seems a likeable character.

I stand by that he is not championship quality and he would struggle to get into any other championship teams side due to his limited ability on the ball but, he's earned his money here and I wouldn't mind seeing him on the bench next season for when we need to see games out.

  • Agree entirely that he has been excellent in recent weeks.

He won't be going anywhere as he is exactly the kind of player you want in the dressing room, sets standards.

Has his limitations, but can fulfill a role as a squad player.

I do think if hes gonna be that player and have that role in the squad he needs to develop a bit of a nasty side. Or a bit more of an edge. He needs to be in the ref's ear a little more in the way Coady has done for us this season and can wind up/target certain oppo players at certain points.

I would be disapointed if we let him go and disapointed if he was first choice next season. He played a big part this season and is probably as good as anybody off the ball.

Obviously Jones is POTY but my vote would have gone to Doc.

You would have voted for someone you didn't think was POTY?

This thread said Greg Docherty but suddenly it was about Tyreese Campbell and I had to check who was being talked about !

As someone with two polar opposite personalities, extrovert and introvert depending on the triggers, stresses and motivations that I'm faced with in my personal or professional life, I find TC's body language, languid style, and shy personality in his monosyllabic respond to Louis Mendez in interviews is classic introvert; in Campbell's case painfully so.

When you are a Footballer on the field you have to express yourself and be an individual but also a team player and combined the two. Also to be supported by the 'fans' you need to engage them as well.
Loud or quiet off the field is not important to the paying spectators.

I still insist that it's great that Nathan believes in TC but NJ went OTT in his comments about him last season being better than many of the Saints players during his short tenure as Southampton's boss in the Premier.
That put pressure on the Lad and his form dipped at the business end of the 24/25 campaign.

It was good to see Tyreese interact with Fevrier after Jaydon's sublime goal with a little routine and I'm sure he is missing his buddy Karoy Anderson.

Back to Docherty who has really stepped up and great that he bounced back to his best form after Nathan lost some faith in Greg during the mid part of the Season.

The up and downs of pro football and only being as good as your last game with Fans/critics is alien to most of us.

Some of them, for sure. Leaburn's isn't much better. But some of our players have been dramatically over scoring their xG.

For someone who struggles to score or properly test the keeper, watching Doc in shooting practice is a little bizarre. He seems to favour his left foot for some reason. Almost like a player who has reached perfection with their stronger foot! Yet in games he hesitates and ends up shooting too late.

His goal wasn't exactly clinical either, unless he knew the defender would airkick it and wrongfoot the keeper

Didn’t realise he had identical twins.
Some identical twins you can tell apart, but these two have faces that are truly identical!

For me his finest moment was the way he 'managed' the free kick situation at Wembley.
Watch his behaviour then, and consider that as captain he was mindful/responsible for what all the players were doing.
He was masterful in that moment in the game.

Cracking captain and a lovely bloke. Hope he enjoys the time off, but you can see how driven he is with his focus on getting ready for next season.
Respect to his family, without them he would not be competing at this level. Must require alot of compromises on their part.

Leave off, with some of the donkeys' we've had even fairly recently.
Doc is head and shoulders above them.

Our complement of trolls has been busy these last few days; I still don’t understand what they get out of it, I assume they don’t have much of a life? Anyway, it speeds up looking at Charlton Life as I just scroll past as soon as the various names appear!
