Only times we looked liked we wanted to score was after we equalised (for 5 mins) and once we went 2-1 down.
Just not good enough. With 10 mins to go Spain were pressing & we did nothing.
Too negative. We passed backwards far many more times than we passed forwards. That wont win you football games.

Spain win 7 matches and were the outstanding team in this tournament.
Southgate leaves England after two losing finals in Euro's and a semi final defeat in WC.
Thanks Gareth but we need a Managers that is Pro active and not reactive but he is still the most successful manager other than Ramsey.
Why Gareth waited to put more subs on only he knows when we were on the ropes again in the 10 minutes before the winner.

Ref took the piss on the injury time. We played not to lose for the second final in a row, I won't be sorry to see a hopefully more attack minded manager have a go with these players. But Spain ultimately the better team and the 2021 Euros was the one to win. Well done to Spain. Gutted.0

Kane was like playing with 10 men and everybody could see except the manager.
Thought Rice was garbage tonight as well.
Mind you we are still streets ahead of the jocks.1 -

Last time v Italy I was fucking broken. Felt like a massive missed opportunity.
This time I’m naturally gutted but we’ve stunk for pretty much the whole tournament and shithoused our way through.
Come up against a better side and the better side won.

Turned up with a decent 11, worked hard against the best team at the tournament and were level until the 86th minute. Made changes early after Spain came out more aggressive at half time, got back into the game and were progressive with our subs. Still people instinctively whining about Southgate. I think it’s become such a reflex action from upset people that it’s lost all meaning now. There’s been some bad Southgate games but this wasn’t one of them, we just got beat by a good team and a half-asleep Kyle Walker4

Rio and Micah have changed their tune. I don't remember them being so critical earlier in the tournament.3
