So the club should just not post anything unless it’s a signing? Got it…
All of the sponsors will love that
If that's what you think he meant by that then sure.
I more looked at it that's it's so quiet, the only thing to talk about is a VPN discount, meanwhile our rivals (if we can view them as that currently) are signing players while doing all the sponsor stuff as well.
It's going to be a quiet one by the looks of it so why not share some humour on it.

Th club has contractual obligations to fulfil, we could have signed 15 players and this tweet would have still gone out.

It’s a nothing thing to get annoyed about
Yeah fair enough, luckily no one is annoyed at the tweet or said they are.
It's not creating an image though. They weren't lying and saying that they went for x player but x club came in and stole the deal to create an image that they went for it.
They literally spent the cash. Whether or not it worked is an entirely different conversation, but they didn't do it to "create an image of giving it a go" they spent money hoping it would be enough to keep their club up. It didn't, shit happens, that's football.
I'd rather we spent a fuck ton when we are on the verge of play-offs than have to start again next season, especially when we have billionaire owners.
I'd also rather Ana de Armas was giving me back rubs while I scrolled Charlton Life, unfortunately, both myself and the club don't appear to have the capacity, life goes on.
I just wanted to address the Carlisle thing as it's nonsense and shouldn't be a recurring example everytime a transfer window pops up when it was pretty much one person who said they're giving it a go.
Absolutely shite thread this is.
Mate we get it - you want the club to spend millions. But repeating it every day won’t change reality. We don't have owners who are willing to burn cash like that. Either accept it or keep banging your head against the wall, it won't change a thing.
Given our past ownership plights, I struggle to get upset over it.
You've literally quoted my quote
"I'd rather we spent a fuck ton when we are on the verge of play-offs than have to start again next season, especially when we have billionaire owners.

What part of that isn't acceptance?
Anyway with that said, and clearing up the acceptance, I'd love it if our owners spent some money, would really help our play-off push.
Agree.
I'm not expecting the club to spend a lot of cash.....if any. But what I would like, and what has been plainly obvious since August, is someone in midfield who can create opportunities & a wide player (or 2) who can relive TC & Small when they tire during games or get injured / suspended.
At this point we have a decent enough chance to be in with a shout of the play offs.....first time in 3 seasons. If the owners want to see a return on their money & not spend another c£10m just covering costs next season then I would have thought a little extra now isn't asking too much.
Late on in the season, Curbs signed Neal Healy, Mark Bright, Danny Mills and Eddie Yates - it gave us the edge to push for play offs and promotion
Wasn't he the dustman on Corrie ? He did well to make that step up
25 goals in 164 is pants. That’s the type of player we go for haha.
That’s basically the two strikers that got them into league one being told thank you but your not good enough now .. Mullen will be back at a lower league one side soon
I genuinely don't understand people who are pissed off with us clearing out the dead wood this year and not throwing money at signings when we're finding form on the pitch.
Yes we have a gap in our midfield for someone, but the team is gelling and a quality midfielder isn't someone you just pick up at your local Tesco.
The club is damned if they do and damned if they don't with this fan base. We've had plenty of January's where we've picked up 5 or 6 players of dubious quality/fit. Seems a bit like people would prefer that to getting rid of dead wood and working with what we have?
The issue I have is that most of the dead wood being cleared out this month only joined us in the summer, these are players that should have helped improve the squad and they didn't. We're now light and a potential key injury or 2 away from derailing all our recent good work.
Agree re injuries...We've been pretty fortunate so far this season but shouldn't forget how we've been badly affected before.
And there's the issue of potential suspensions that might creep up & bite us on the nether regions ..... ouch !!!!

It's been well said by the majority here and elsewhere that we need at least one maybe two.
Not five ,six or seven.
There's 3 days left.
Chill yer beans!
