If we do sign a cb it’s going to be someone who can play LCB and is left footed. Already have A.Mitchell and Z.Mitchell who can cover the middle and the right. People have the reservations about Alex but considering this year we’re going to do less playing out the back and more defending the area he will be playing much more to his strengths. Hjelde from sunderland Pye from Stockport and Brown from Oxford would look like good options
Bit of a weird one, but I think it was on here i read that if we wasn't promoted last ( this ) season then signing players would prove to be a lot more difficult. What was the reasoning? New FFP rules?
I think I read it near when we lost to crawley at home so didn't give it much of a thought.
Unless our owners suddenly decide to go big, then some of the players mentioned in this thread are going to be WAY out of the price range on what we're likely to spend.
The first couple of transfers will tell us for more than words, what level of budget we are working with.
Oh no... Wait for the incoming meltdown when we first sign a couple of out of contract players - "tin pot club with no money" "charlatans without a penny" etc. Thankfully this year we don't have to deal with the 'salmon trouser Eton education' rubbish...

‘Championship clubs will be allowed to lose an average of £13m a season (or £5m if the owner doesn't inject cash into the club to cover the loss), over three seasons’

Interesting, didn't expect rumours this soon after Sunday.
He's 22 and FM has him as a RWB/RM who can also play CM. Quick, strong, hard working and a good dribbler. Got to be an alternative to Small with those attributes.

He has just been promoted with us, played his part in the play-offs and has had some good moments with us.
I think that's a good send off for him, and we are going to need that extra slot cause I can't see us shifting someone like Ahadme.
We will get rid of Ahadme , whether it’s a loan or termination . Being a championship club makes it more likely someone will take a punt on him, at least on loan.
And yes - Chuks should and will go , with huge thanks for his good season in 2020/21 and his affable nature .
This could be one that moves quickly as contracts in Scotland run until the end of May, as the info Braziliance posted above says.
If FM is accurate, Dundee also only pay their top earners around £2.5 to £3k a week, and being from their academy Mulligan won't be one of them. Would explain why Scotland is a market we're likely to use, with Edwards having come in and Calvin Charlton recently joining, who will presumably know a lot of players up there.

I'd have no issues with us going to the Scottish Prem, plenty of good players in there.
Same as the Scandinavian leagues like Birmingham have been signing from. Some real quality in there.
I'm expecting us to build a big physical side and those are good leagues to get that criteria from.
According to salary sport he's on £360 a week. That doesn't sound right.
Sounds like a Jones type of player and from his bio could be just what our midfield needs. Rangers must still be a very big pull though for any Scottish player.

If he is good enough for Hearts and Rangers (judging by the sounds of social media he is) then he is probably good enough for us.
Sounds versatile, strong and like a grafter with a bit of technique. I could see Jones being interested.
First rumour I like the sound of 👍🏻
First proper rumour of the summer. He fits the Nathan Jones mold perfectly.
