I’d personally be excited by it if we swooped in but the precedent for signings, let alone striker signings, from Ipswich lately hasn’t been great at all.
Just because previous recent Ipswich signings have failed, shouldn't put us off signing this striker. Is what I said last summer when we bought in Ahadme.

I think Watford's potential signing of Nestory Irankunda for £2.5m (50% sell-on fee!) is a great signing. Absolutely rapid tricky winger!
Irankunda could be absolutely mustard. I sent a very excited email to Charlie Methven about him a couple of years ago - when he was still relatively unknown in Australia but didn’t get a response. A couple of months later he joined Bayern. He’s got ridiculous pace and a cannon of a foot. £2.5m is an absolute steal considering what his potential is like.
'Nestor' Irankunda definitely looked a talent in March last year when I thought he scored a hat trick for Adelaide united when I was watching A-League football. He will need to sort out his short fuse which has seen him get yellow and red cards since he made his debut at the young age of 15.
If this is a transfer and not a loan I wonder why Bayern are letting him go at 19 especially since the fractured Fibula and dislocated ankle injury to Jamal Musiala against PSG in the recent world crap championship which will keep him out for a long time.
I think it's more to do with the fact it's Bayern Munich and a 19 year old talent from the Australian league will not be a direct replacement yet for someone like musiala.
Definitely not a direct replacement for the talented Musiala who both England and Germany wanted to represent their national team but it seems they are selling Nestor So why don't they sent him to Watford on loan 🤔 I assume it's because the gap is so vast between looking good in the A-League and going to one of the best teams in Europe where the discipline and skills needed are of the top level. As we saw when Kompany was at Burnley and the Video of him slagging off a senior pro like JBG, so he wouldn't put up with a youngster not being totally dedicated.
Watford may get a bargain but Kwadwo Baah went to Watford and at 22 is still trying to establish himself there despite nearly joining Man City at 18.

Hopefully Apter turns out to be the real deal but you never know if mentally young players can handle the step up. Charlie Kirk was touted as a real talent & flopped so it’s a lot of money to pay for a gamble. This could either be an inspired signing or another flop but I guess they must be confident & see him as worth the gamble.
Keeping my fingers crossed that he becomes a Charlton success story !
Charlie Kirk was an extraordinarily low tempo , flimsy footballer . Apter looks the opposite . Good mantra though - you never know how any player will work out . Biggest positive so far is we haven’t signed anyone from Ipswich

Probably sounds odd but I don’t want Mbick to go out on loan. Not saying he’s ready for the first team yet but think he learns more from NJ and being on the fringes with some U21 games than he does playing in NL/L2

I think someone put on the U21 thread before the end of last season that the plan was he's going out on loan.

Someone on here said a few months ago they heard the plan was to loan Casey out. Definitely think it would be a good test for him, he’s a good goalscorer but needs to show other areas of his game are up to first team standard if he’s going to break through here.
I'd like to see Sam Tovide come in. Not prolific yet (young) but a nuisance value. The next Chuks? Won't be expensive.
How much do you think he would go for ? Shame we wasn't a bit more established in the championship or have the spare money as he'd be one to maybe purchase then loan out to a league one club till ready for the step up or make some money on.
