  • Studio 6 and 7 just by Lewisham station.
And while we are there, The Plough, the kebab shop and the dry cleaners (for part of my youth I believed they were in cahoots, dodgy meat, dry cleaning....
  • I seem to remember that Studio 6 and 7 showed more certificate 18 films than at the Odeon.

  • I know it's a bit out of our area but Pride and Clark Stockwell Road Brixton; a mecca for motorbikes spares, three wheelers, and apparently first importers of Toyota? The whole row of shops identified Brixton in the 50's and 60's.
  • Got me thinking about shops that you thought wouldn't survive but are still there? An example , the junk shop at the bottom of Greenwich South St as you come into Greenwich from Lewisham. Used to visit it on the way home from the Valley in the 60's. Hasn't changed a bit!

What was the name of the record shop that used to be in Thomas Street, Woolwich just opposite Curry Asia? I spent much of my Saturday Boy earnings from Wallis supermarket (another one that is long gone) on prized pieces of vinyl.
