that would be flaretastic.Wheresmeticket? said:Maybe we COULD have our own version. We could call them "Absolutely supers".
But it all sounds terribly unenglish. to me.0 -
Inclined to agree. CP supers sounds like a dodgy mid-American basketball team. Mind you so does CP ultras.0

I've heard there's a new Charlton ultra group on the scene. They call themselves P.O.B.

This is by far the worst palace video, setting up a camera to walk past covering their faces, trying their hardest to look menacing. All set to some underground drum and bass.0 -
The funny thing is they take it all dead serious, i'd love to see that lot stand toe to toe to some Ukrainian or Russian set up, that'd soon stop all the petty videos and strobe lights and torches at matches.... lol0

Just speaking to consultant guy who we are dealing with at work, I mentioned football and though he is not a fan he has recently done some work for UEFA looking at the persistent use of flares and smoke bombs in enclosed spaces, specifically by Sparta Prague and Dynamo Moscow fans but European football in general, one of his suggestions that they are considering is for an empty neutral section of the ground that supporters are encouraged to bring their pyro's to where "trained" staff will let them off safely at relevent moments in the game.....I would love this to be introduced at Selhurst Park as a trial first please...any thoughts?0

Plenty at New Highbury on Tuesday from the Germans.0

It's a type of tampon used during heavy flow days.Riviera said:I'm going to say something, I know I'm going to get sh1t for asking but all this hooli stuff is not my world and has never been...... So, what is an Ultra?
By the way, for what it is worth, here's my take on flares:
Just imagine the single idea of some Millwall dimwit (there's enough of them around) - deciding it would be very funny indeed to lob a flare at the West Stand car park burger van's deep fat fryer. You can work out the likely consequences yourselves.

Not that we would throw flares at someone, but this article does show their potential danger:

Bolivian police opened an investigation on Thursday into the death of a 14-year-old boy from a flare allegedly launched by Corinthians fans during a South American Libertadores Cup match in Oruro.
They arrested at least 12 fans of title holders Corinthians of Brazil after Wednesday night's match against home side San Jose and will be interrogating them to try to identify who set off the flare that hit the boy in the eye, killing him almost instantly.
"There was a loss of brain matter as the projectile, a plastic tube, penetrated the skull. Due to this, death was immediate," doctor Jose Maria Vargas told local media at the Hospital Obrero in Oruro where he declared the boy dead.
Albeit he died from the impact rather than anything incendiary.0
