Let us prey that we sign him!!0

Pope will put in a word for him.0

Simon Church is class, I rated him at Reading, Didn't think he got enough chances.
Would love us to sign him.1 -
Maybe now we'll have a MASS influx of players?0
-
If he does sign, he'll get some good SERVICE from our wingers!0

price will be too steep(le) for us0

He's been mentioned many times on here and is absolutely marmite amongst fans from what I recall.
Reading fans were either "He doesn't score enough goals and offers nothing"
or
"He's the second coming of christ"
I trust Mr Powell.
He's also a full welsh international if I recall correctly - be good to have an international in the team again0 -
There must be alternatives0
-
Probably right, I doubt SCP will ALTAR his recruitment policy.Phantom User said:

He's worth a punt, thought he was good when he first broke into the Reading team when they were poor in he 11/12 season but he seemed to lose his way a bit and hasn't had a lot of game time since.

The covered end Choir will certainly praise him!0

I'd be quite happy to take a chance on Church. He was a good youngster at Reading when they were an average Championship club.
He lost his place in their promotion season & Doyle, Kitson & Lita were in front of him.
He's also played 22 games for Wales, which at our level isn't too shabby.
If he's got no club, 6 foot tall & has something to prove, why not ?
Plus he probably won't have to move, which I always think can be an important factor, to stay in touch with friends & family.0 -
Hopefully he will know how to score from a CROSS....0
-
only thing is his wages, at least 6/7k pw imo0

151 career appearances and 28 career goals since 2007. : /0
-
An Orient fan mate of mine says he was really good for them. Strong player, but doesn't score many. Worth giving a trial to at least.0
-
Dont really think he is the answer but we dont really seem to have any other options0
-
He'd have to take a pay cut probably...Could be a stumbling block0

I won't get too excited just yet.0
-
Stats dont mean anything. Look at Yann's championship stats at Leicester0
-
But I've heard that Church is nothing but a knave.Covered End said:Pope will put in a word for him.

Gotta give him a chance(lry)
Barrel scrapping I know...0 -
We might have to altar the way we play.0
-
Could be someone who Chrissy could get the best out of, young enough and a has something to prove.

We need someone with pace badly, all a bit one speed up front, and Church won't change that0
-
If SCP thinks he is good enough for what we can afford then Im happy.0
-
I'd be pretty pleased if he did sign up. Kermorgant's goal record since joining us is the best of any club he's been at, what (except the moaners
) is to say CP's Midas touch can't strike twice? 0
