Haha, no. Not a cook. I was just intrigued by the whole process when I first started watching the show.GreenWithEnvy said:
Sorry, I believe it should have been Blood, Meth and Tears!! Fits a whole lot better! Wasn't entirely sure how much Lithium was part of the meth process though... you a 'cook' then CAFCPolo?cafcpolo said:
Isn't there like less than 2% sodium in your tears? Clutching a bit thereGreenWithEnvy said:Felina:
Fe = Iron = Blood
Li = Lithium = Sweat (also a mood enhancer for schizophrenia Walt/Heisenberg)
Na = Sodium = Tears
The attention to every detail is what makes the show the absolute cult classic that it is.
BTW am I the only person who thought Todd was ok, just a bit simple?Lithium though is rather vital ingredient in making meth which fits better!

Read the following on Twitter last night. Pretty cool. Can't have known they would have been commissioned for 5 seasons but must as soon as they were renewed, have known what they were going to do:
"Breaking Bad was 62 episodes. The 62nd element on the periodic table is samarium. Samarium is used to treat lung cancer"
As an aside the ending was brilliant. Not how I thought it would pan out at all.0 -
I thought the finale was perfect.
Walt's arc took him from Mr Chips to Scarface, as Gilligan once put it, but the final episode was a step beyond. No longer about greed, or saving himself - but about putting things as right as possible. Walt dedicated himself to achieving his dream - making sure his family were well off - to destroying the people who he felt deserved it - Lydia/ Nazis - and, when he discovered the news about Jessie, redeeming one of his biggest screw ups. It was tied up neatly, and it should have been. There was no room or need for ambiguity.0 -
Definitely when you consider the last two episodes were longer and could have been made into three.Clem_Snide said:Read the following on Twitter last night. Pretty cool. Bryan Cranston on Twitter:
'The opening lyrics to Bad Finger's song at the show's end is Walt's prophecy, "I guess I got what I deserve...my baby blue" Goodbye Mr White'
One of my favourite scenes which hasn't been mentioned is the train robbery!0 -
Brilliant brilliant final episode to the all time greatest TV show. Yup, that good.0

EDIT - ***Don't read Rizzo's post if you haven't watched Dexter yet***
Want to know why the finale was called Felina?

Did anyone notice that this was played at the final whistle on Saturday?0

Whilst I agree, I recently read that the Dexter finale was forced on them by the network.cafcpolo said:Just watched it and apologies for swearing but that was absolutely fucking immense. After defending the finale of Dexter, I take it all back. That is how you end a TV show!!

So Rizzo... how do you feel about spoilers on forums without giving any kind of warning? You cool with that? I'm guessing you are... I realise I'm going for passive/ aggressive here, but I'm so f****d off with your post, I'm doing my best to avoid plain old 'aggressive'.0

Wow - after all the other theories that is both brilliant and beautiful! Thanks Jimmy 85!!JiMMy 85 said:Want to know why the finale was called Felina?

I hadn't opened this thread once till I finished BrBa, so the ending wouldn't be spoiled.
Guess I don't need to bother with the final season of Dexter now, a thread I've not gone anywhere near for the same reason.
Cheers. Brilliant. Unbelievable.0 -
Well, won't be bothering to watch Dexter then...0

I sincerely apologise. I honestly thought it had been mentioned already on the thread. I really am sorry. I'll edit my earlier post and perhaps if others could do the same it will limit the damage.
Sorry!0 -

Just watched the final episodes, what a show. Shame it's over but I think it was a fitting ending.
Only (slight) disappointment for me was the way Jesse worked out Walt had poisoned Brock. The doctor had told Jesse it was the Lily of the Valley plant that did it, not the ricin. I guess it was the being lied to all the time that made him think it must be Walt anyway. Just seems a bit loose.
What to watch now...0 -
Finished it this evening
I have to say that it didn't really meet the hype. Brilliantly acted but the writing was quite suspect at times and for my money is not the greatest tv show ever made. It wouldn't even come in to my top three.
Having said that, it was highly entertaining and kept me entertained every evening when I watched it. Some elements of it was excellent, but a solid 7.5-8/10 for me.1 -
Just out of curiosity, what is your top 3? (If there's 3 series better than BB, I wanna see them).............................kentaddick said:It wouldn't even come in to my top three.

The wire
Game of thrones/madmen
Although I enjoyed breaking bad, there were too many one dimensional characters, cliches galore at some points and it felt like the plot twists and turns were there to cover up the cracks. Overrated tv series but I still really enjoyed it, and will miss it.0
