Joe Gomez (ed. ongoing progress)

1-1, Gomez beaten to it on the line by German player

Pen for us!

Deja vu, the Germans save the pen.

Easy to spot Gomez, bright yellow boots

good defending by Joe to cut out dangerous cross at near post

Is it me, or does Joe look like the only one who knows what "defend" means?

tend to agree Loopy, whilst Joe was partly at fault for the goal the right back should never have allowed the cross in the first place

The thing is, we have to remember that Joe is only 17, so could well be the youngest player in the England team.

He doesn't look out of his league in any way. He certainly has the pace and strength, and looked one of the most skillful England players.

Any one know the final result? Couldn't find it anywhere

1-1

where in vancouver you living @vancouverbcaddick ?? get up to Whistler at all?

Hi thecrazyaddick. Actually live in Langley where we moved after I retired in 2006. Used to visit Whistler regularly when working, now only when we have visitors. Having said that we have friends visiting from UK Sept/Oct and will probably take a day trip up there. Son lives in Squamish. Where do you work?

Joe to sign a new three year contract according to the SLP.

Fingers crossed, imagine how good this guy could be when he's 20 and filled out. Do the right thing Joe

Could be the biggest signing RD has made yet. Glad the lad has not had his head turned by all that Premier League nonsense.

Confirmed on a long term deal
