I understand that Colin is right on this one. There is "relief" that TW is no longer with us I am told.CharltonByBlood said:
Really?, i would believe him if he didn't say " there's nothing going on, hes injured" less than 3 days ago on another forum.ShootersHillGuru said:
I'm not at all sure that Colin is wrong on this one.CharltonByBlood said:colin1961 said:It would not have mattered if he had scored 10 / 15 goals already what happened of the pitch left the club with no choice but to let him go,

Can you give a better image of what actually happened? The only stories of discontent were from 2013 and earlier.colin1961 said:It would not have mattered if he had scored 10 / 15 goals already what happened of the pitch left the club with no choice but to let him go,

It's not an interview with the player though - just an extract from Watt's Instagram post.WestCountryAddick said:This just appeared in my FB news feed. Make of it what you will.

I'm sure they are trying and will do so in the same way they did with Gomez - and with exactly the same ultimate goal.PL54 said:1 -
Which would be an improvement on the boards that didn't get Jenkinson and Poyet signed up long term.Addick Addict said:

As a Championship club Gomez was always going to go. I don't think that's down to RD/KM, before his injury he had shown he was ready for Prem football at one of the biggest clubs (and that was while playing in his 3rd or 4th best position).7 -

And then there is the matter of his agent. Let's hope he hasn't hooked Lookman too. Or that KM has learnt from the last stitch-up. One instance where its good she's a lawyer - albeit I doubt she has ever had to deal with such pond life in competition law circles.Scoham said:

I find that quite hard to believe. I'll ask the Standard Socios guys what they make of that, they are all over the whole Watt deal.WSS said:

“I could have had Tony Watt – Charlton offered him to us and we couldn’t afford to pay him,” he told The Bolton News.
“His wages weren’t massive. And if Tony would have been playing on the other side of the pitch today we would have won the game.”0 -
Trouble is... Bolton cant afford to pay anyone1

Seems Cardiff weren't the only side we offered Watt to.
Why were we so keen to move him on.0 -
He refused the transfer to Trabzonspor and wanted a move back up north.Henry Irving said:Seems Cardiff weren't the only side we offered Watt to.

I don't know, but why did he have to take the tunnel sign with him???9

Unbelievable that we would offer Watt to a fellow relegation struggling club.
What part of football does RD and Katrien not understand?

someone tell Cawley that 'were' and 'weren't' mean completely different things4

They tried unsuccessfully with Igor and Watt, maybe they could get them to relieve us of Lookman.Oggy Red said:

Man of the match performance too0

Strange he's done so well there so far given his terrible attitude...
Maybe they've got a manager who knows how to deal with players and their egos?11 -
Sounds familiar to what we were saying almost 12-months ago... Honestly don't think Watt has an attitude problem (as can't see Russell Slade being able to sort him out), with Watt I believe he can't forget / get over past poor performancesAddicted said:Strange he's done so well there so far given his terrible attitude...

Watt is talented ... BUT .. he's a spoilt prima donna, the move will do him good, I obviously don't now how many bridges he burnt at whilst at CAFC ..
.. right now, given a choice between Watt and Harriott ? .. Harriott, ten choices outta ten for me

A manager with a bit of experience in dealing with athletes at a high professional level. Not the Belgian 3rd division.Addicted said:Strange he's done so well there so far given his terrible attitude...
