Red dead redemption is one of the finest bits of storytelling in any medium.

Gta vice city has an incredible soundtrack
Gta San Andreas is slightly better though

Star Wars battlefront, I love it, I'm a bit slow at it, but I've got one more gun to unlock, level 20, I wish their were more hero pick up cards!

Yeah the hero pick ups are great. Vader is my favourite. Not played as palpatine yet.
  • Currently addicted to Black Ops 3.

Moved away from the Cod franchise for a couple of years but came back for this latest entry and love it.

Probably playing too much of it to be honest, but with that, work, relationship, social and all the CAFC related stuff it's enough to keep me busy!
  • This is tough but I would judge it on games that amazed me at the time as some I wouldn't dream of ever playing again.

I think I'd have to say Street fighter 2. Had so many years playing it with mates, which continued into the free periods in sixth form common room. Played it again recently, still love it.

I love star wars battlefront, simple enough for the novice but challenging enough to keep me interested. Playing online with like minded simpleton pals is what this game is all about.

    However

I've dedicated the last fortnight of my life to shadow of mordor. That is the best game I've played since the last of us.

Paid 15 quid for a pre used copy and it was worth every penny

    Mass Effect 2

    What is Valiant Hearts like?
Hmm... it's a game based on letters written during the Great War and shows how four different characters' stories come together during the period.

It's mainly based on puzzles which are quite simple but drive the game forward, but it's lovingly created and the story, in how honest and real it is, is really what makes the game. The ending is one of only two times I've cried while playing a game (the other being the ending of TWD1)

One of those games which I think would be great as an educational medium for learning about the war, as you can read facts depending on the time period you're playing in and collectibles have little pieces of information tied to them.

Probably not selling it well but the puzzles were straightforward and didn't make me tear my hair out, and the story and how simple yet affecting it was made me love the game

What a game that was - mostly played it on the Arcade machine though. That was how I spent a good few non-Charlron Saturdays in the 90s - couple of rounds of Laser Quest/Quasar, sink some pocket money into the Street Fighter 2 arcade machine, winner stays on, air hockey for those waiting their turn and then into McDonald's downstairs for tea.
