Nice to see Fanni get a workout.

Not sure where we go from here (hint: down).

Over to you.

Another goal conceded from a corner, but then a new low for us was a goal conceded from our own corner!!! Enough said.

My heart is breaking (poetically, coz its broken physically already). Sorry to say I'm glad i'm out this Saturday, and cant do the match thread. However I will bounce back.....when RD and the muppets have gone......if I'm still alive by then!!!!!

Years of bobbing around in the lower leagues await. Utter torture.
  • So pissed off with the whole bloody lot, owner, clueless CEO, gutless Murray & players who couldn't give a shit. As for backroom staff, how can a supposed professional outfit concede so many goals from corners, and listening to this tonight even from 1 of ours - so bloody pissed off, I certainly will not be spending any of my money watching this shite again this season. My worst ever season supporting this mob & I fear what's going to happen next season will only be worse, so bloody pissed off.
  • Down and out without a fight.

A 54 year low for me.

    Get them out!

Actually, I do care, and that's what hurts.
  • Great chance to make up some ground tonight, results going our way, Preston beatable opposition.

Now 3 wins from safety with 13 matches to play. No way back from here imo.
  • Relegated before March - we're a joke.

Time to boycott the games, our support can do nothing to help the team now!

    F@ck you Roly!

This! Can't be distributing Pinnochio masks or wearing fancy dress. We need to up the anti
  • Not long ago I was thinking, 'Surely, there'll be three teams worse than us.' Right now I can't imagine a team ever being worse than us.

My brother's down in London at the weekend and rarely gets to come a game, so I'll be going with him to the Valley on Saturday. After that, I think that's it for me until the current lot are out. I went to my first game at the Valley when I was three years old, got my first season ticket aged seven, and have attended the vast majority of home matches for the best part of twenty years. It's so sad, but I just can't be bothered anymore. We've been down for weeks. I don't have a season ticket this year, and I can't justify spending 20-odd quid on such a guaranteed depressing experience. I don't want to give another penny to the regime. After Saturday, I'll only attend for a planned in-stadium protest (walkout, pitch invasion etc)... Otherwise, I'm out.

I know I'm not the first person to express similar sentiments, but just adding my name to the ever-growing list of unofficial boycotters. Respect to the heroes/nutcases who went up to Lancashire tonight.

    Charlton 'til I die.

Even under Pardew and Parkinson I actually gave a shit.

This mob are so amateur why the fuck should we care??

Keep up with the media attention and the sponsorship pressure and these pricks will fuck off. The only problem is who is gonna buy them out.

    RD, KM, RM.

    Nobody wants you here.

Now go away and ruin another club in another country where people are content to take all your shit without putting up a fight.

In recent weeks it's become clear that all this off the pitch stuff has got to the players. They're not devoid of blame, of course, but with all the chopping and changing and directionless management/leadership, is it any wonder that they're getting beaten every week?

We can never become a united, functional club with these loons in charge. It's too far gone. Sadly I can't help but think that getting them out asap has to become a priority over short term on-the-pitch problems.

I dread to think of where we will be with another couple of years under this regime.

Another useless defeat from a team full of defenders. Duchatelet a miserable football failure with his inept CEO and a foolish & vain Murray.

On Saturday a Pre match protest alongside the one planned post match. After a depressing match performance all the energy is being sucked out of the post match protest. There was good energy for the Wendies pre and post. It will keep them guessing and resources and stewards will be needed to manage them from the club.

Looking at the remaining fixtures we might squeeze four more points out of this season, then again we may lose the bloody lot !

Can't be arsed to rant. Repeating the same shit over and over on and off the field. Complete guff.

5 red cards in the league i think? As everyone knows the ownership is a complete shambles and the reason we are going down. You need stability in the league and we couldn't be any further from that if we tried. Compare us to Preston, a team who work hard and have a good team spirit. Remind you of anyone? (2012/13 Powell's side?).
But don't you just think the players should do a little bit more? Harry Lennon cost us any chance of getting a point today means we're cut adrift even more.
Also defending set peices?! When will the players learn. No team will go a season without conceding from a corner but four in the last two games? Shambolic.

I feel like in the last three days I've gone through all of the stages of grief but I've ended up at confusion. I don't think we have that bad of a team, thinking about it were the season to start next week, with a fully fit squad I'd say we have a shot at the playoffs. I don't think Riga is as bad a manager as the results have shown. It sounds like we've played decent football in patches, and nothing quite comes off. I'm not English, I don't think "the desire to bleed for the shirt" matters as much as footballing intelligence and technical ability, which again I think we have. It genuinely baffles me. If/When we're relegated I'd expect the following to go
    JBG
    Igor
    Lookman
    Cousins
    Motta
    Hendo
    Diarra
Kashi (maybe on loan, he's far too good for a slog in League One)
    Tex (Same as Kashi)
    Watt (obviously)

And the following loans will be up:
    Poyet
    Young
    Fanni
    Mak
    Sanogo

There is definitely some dross and under-performers in there, but there's also a good amount of quality and international experience. I really fear for what comes next.

I'll be curious to hear in the months/years to come what Riga has to say about the team he inherited. I have serious questions about fitness, not just on the injury front, but seemingly with players running out of steam after 50-60 minutes. That could be a result of fatigue from the holiday schedule, lack of proper preparation in pre-season, or both. Lots of questions about attitude as well.
  • Slight digression, but I saw Bill Turnbull on BBC news today with a special feature about his beloved Wycombe Wanderers. It made me want to weep for a number of reasons but largely because his close affinity with his club, reminded me of our relationship with cafc, once upon a time. I can not express forcefully enough my hatred and bitterness toward RD and KM for stripping my club of all that once made it respected and a place to look forward to going to every game.
I really wish that they would... switch off the lights and go home!

The bonus for me was an excellent Preston commentary. Sounded like we gave it a go to give our brave supporters something to cheer.
  • Riga is vindicated in his team selection with a 1 goal defeat, featuring 7 defenders on the pitch at various times.
    Tremendous stuff.

We were far worse under Parky, though admittedly the standard of the Championship was far lower then. Remember when we had four central midfielders in midfield? What was the name of the big lad we got in to play up front and put himself about but never, ever, ever looked like scoring?
