Train ticket sale at the moment with Virgin for 3 days only. Gets you a return to Manchester for £20 and £10 child return.

Thanks just booked Friday out > Saturday return

  • Five of us booked up for the early morning Saturday and returning on the Sunday.
  • A proper train related question for you guys and gals.

After purchasing a ticket on Virgin trains, is it still possible to change your allocated seats before collecting the tickets or will I have to politely ask the person on the day if they are happy to swap?

    Tar,

just looked away allocation is 2000 so shouldnt be any hassle with tickets, thats one bugger about the lower leagues some of the games are going to be quite hard to get tickets to, afc wimbledon for example the maximum allocation is 700 and as were playing them in feb when our promotion charge will be full steam ahead could be tricky

Thanks to the heads up on here last night, 4 of us have booked for Bury at £20pp. Can't argue with that !

  • 16 booked on. Saved £500 on tickets. Should swell numbers up there with this offer and all the fans who are going to away games only.

our 2 booked. At those prices we are going to do shorter away journeys this season for more money so it's worth making the effort. Besides, I can imagine fans kicking themselves when they are following RMs match day thread if it's a sunny day, there is a good turn out from Charlton fans and we are winning. OK, probably a bit too optimistic on all three counts there.

  • I think the last two opening away games where it was the first match of the season and I went to them (have there been any since ?) were Bournemouth (lost 2-1) and Brentford (drew 1-1) so another 'B' team in Bury and a win is due.

Does anyone know when the match tickets are likely to go on sale ?

Back in the 90's we played Bury and they were supposed to be small fry, but both home and away were 0-0.
They had a decent keeper that season - so we bought him.

    There's only one Deano.

Do Virgin charge extra for rocket-launchers or are they free like bikes if you book ahead 24 hours?

When are the tickets going on sale? No update on the CAFC website.

Called the club yesterday and was told they have not been sent any tickets. Asked what the restrictions where and she did not know.

Think they are more interested in ringing people to ask why they have not renewed!

The Bury website doesn't seem to have a link to tickets specifically for the match with Charlton either so the fault may well be with them, not Charlton's ticket office

Ok cool. She did seem under immense pressure in the ticket office. Fingers crossed we get an update later in the week. Wonder what sort of allocation we will get?

We'll be on our third manager of the season by then and will have just signed Tucudean and Lepoint on emergency loans

As palarsehater has mentioned, we'll have 2000 as you get behind one goal.

Although the initial allocation will probably be more than enough!
