She wouldn't say what the price is, but they turned down 2.5m rising to 3m in the summer.Scoham said:
Yet when it comes to our players apparently if they want to go we have to sell them, and £1-2m or so is all we can ask for.Clem_Snide said:
You'd be right. More chance of him signing for Welling.ricky_otto said:
@Clem_Snide can put everybody straight on this one. I think I'm right in saying we are probably one of the last clubs he would sign for.Redrobo said:Maybe it is us after Dacks? Right age and very decent at this level and should be able to move up a level as well.
No idea how much he would cost, but we could do a lot worse.
Was asking his mum yesterday why he's still at the Gills. Apparently Scally is asking silly money. The only recent "firm" offer is from Rangers, which he isn't keen on.
All irrelevant at the moment as whilst we were talking he texted her to say he was at Harley St waiting for a scan as he got injured at Southend in Tuesday night.1 -
...and yet Cousins goes for peanuts despite extensive Championship experience and an excellent England youth record. Weird.

not weird, just that Katie hasn't got a fecking clue when it comes to negotiatingRedrobo said:...and yet Cousins goes for peanuts despite extensive Championship experience and an excellent England youth record. Weird.

Slade says he is looking for a box to box CM, has some names in mind3

Tuesday afternoon: Oscar Gobern signs until January. Signs too late to play on Tuesday evening.ross1 said:Slade says he is looking for a box to box CM, has some names in mind

I've got a name for you Slade. Jordan Cousins.ross1 said:Slade says he is looking for a box to box CM, has some names in mind

Forget Jordan Cousins, we were never going to keep him, yes we should have got some more money for him but he was always going to go. Let's move on...12

Cousins work rate was in no doubt, but creative ball playing midfielder, he was not. In fact his passing ability is average at best. I loved his effort for us though.obviously better than we have now, but we are settling for trialists in league 1.5
-
We are being linked to Jed Wallace on loan from Wolves. He was on loan to Millwall last season.12

That's the best local cm option i have seen for us so far imo. Perfect for what we need. Will know Pearce from Pompey. He would be ideal.dickplumb said:We are being linked to Jed Wallace on loan from Wolves. He was on loan to Wolves last season.

That would be a top drawer signing.dickplumb said:We are being linked to Jed Wallace on loan from Wolves. He was on loan to Wolves last season.

He moved the ball quickly , which is all you need from a primarily defensive midfielderpaulfox said:Cousins work rate was in no doubt, but creative ball playing midfielder, he was not. Found an interview with Wallace from March. Has mainly played as right midfielder.

Another winger would be useful as well if we want a promotion quality depth of squad i.e. two for every position. Plus it would avoid us being screwed and short of good players who can play wide if Lookman leaves. Really hope Ade stays as well though.1

Would be a great signing. Would prefer permanent deal but season loan will do.0

Good to our scouting has reached Charlton life!cafcsinger said:Not a rumour but i would like to see us go in for Jed Wallace. Good creative player and shouldn't be out of price range. With Wolves new owners he may not be fancied there.

Agreed, but we no longer have either. There's no pace or energy in central midfield to go with a creative player.paulfox said:Cousins work rate was in no doubt, but creative ball playing midfielder, he was not. Pretty sure this is a Football Rumours special. He's a winger primarily, can't see it happening.DamoNorthStand said:Has anyone got a link to the story?

Wallace came on as a sub for Wolves yesterday.0
-
Louis Thompson again not involved in the Norwich squad yesterday, how can they say he's part of their plans?
Also Adeyemi not featured this season. But hopefully, we manage to get in at least 1 midfielder soon, can't keep playing Foley and Crofts in centre midfield.5 -
The fairly abject performance of Norwich City's midfield yesterday would probably give encouragement to the likes of Louis Thompson that their day is not far away.0
-
I see Bradley Pritchard is unattached. If we don,t sign some energy & pace in CM soon, could he do a job? Unlikely to stretch our budget.4

Doubt it, im sure there is a reason L2 Orient released him..harveys gardener said:I see Bradley Pritchard is unattached. If we don,t sign some energy & pace in CM soon, could he do a job? Unlikely to stretch our budget.
