I think we have finally found our character to bounce straight back after they scored instead of crumbling.

1-2 away wins for Charlton and Dartford, what a day!! So pleased for Nicky, he needed that. As for big Josh, get the man a goal!

Poor second half again , but glad we managed to get that second goal. Magennis and Holmes class again . Need a few more in the squad for certain tho . First time I've seen us win away in 5 years. Happy days

Is he the one that played for Massives a few years ago?

BTW. The police were asked to cover any Roland Out / Anti Regime banners today. Source - police woman at the front. Meire doing her bit for free speech again.

Impressive performance, always moving, probing, talking.
  • Just what Adjose needed, need to get the ball forward a bit quicker as we have a dilatory midfield some of the time which cost us the goal, although Rudd could have done better. So it was great to see Fox and Pearce go straight to him when we scored the winner. Seems to be a great team spirit, but Lookman a lot less lively than Tuesday. Let's see what happens in the next 2 weeks. But we won, though, so let's enjoy that for now:)

    Great result.

Sounded like Rudd kept us in it but that's his job.

A few Roland out songs including a clever reworking of "don't won't to go home" chant which proves again we win when we protest and protesting is fun : - )

Top two teams in next two games. Bring 'em on.

In the car on the way home. We are looking a proper solid league 1 team. Looked quite comfortable throughout however we need another 2-3 signings If we get the right players in we can piss this league, however if we keep the same midfield for much longer we will get found out against the better teams. So glad that Ajose for getting off the mark looks a proper handful. Onwards and upwards coyr

Osbourne their best player by far. For us, Holmes stood out. Neither team was great but it was an entertaining game.

Sounds perfect for a brass when composing her CV.

Not that she would need one I guess

Good, let them ask. It's more bad publicity for the club and more good press for the fans

Weren't we linked with him at some point? Maybe last January...?

He looked quite decent when he broke through at Villa. Expect he's excellent at this level. IIRC he's struggled with injuries throughout his career.

Worth starting another thread on this @clem_snide to raise awareness and so not to distract from post match views

He signed for Walsall a year ago, but missed the entire season through injury

No wonder we were linked with him, he'd fit in perfectly with our other crocked signings!

Excellent to see another victory. Great to see Ajose get off the mark. Sounded a good game with some decent defending and great saves from Rudd. Really good to see Charlton near the top of the table. That's got to help with attracting / bringing the creative / quicker central midfielders Charlton need to sustain Charlton's competitiveness in the league. Ajose with decent service will score. A decent midfield will provide options right across the park for service and not just from the wings. Hopefully another victory does not give an excuse for Meire & Duchatelet to argue that all is rosy and that strengthening is not required.

There was a little scare with Holmes hamstring before he got subbed. Hope all is well with but maybe hopefully that will also help Slade in his discussions with Meire & Duchatelet in getting the needed reinforcements in, so that there is space to rest players who have had a knock.

Always happy to see a Charlton victory. Always good to see Charlton above Millwall.

The clue ? this is a League 1 fixture or the 3rd Tier.

The good thing for me is unlike most games last season is we didn't collapse when conceding an away goal, right from the first away defeat at Wolves when we were 1 nil up at H/T.
  • That was great. Crowd were amazing. Roland out! Drunk now - back later!

hard fought win against a decent outfit .. Ajose, the new DeFoe, Magennis the Ulster Ibrahamovic .. Holmes went off in the second half during which he never looked fit and we lost a lot of impetus ..
usual solid games from Solly, Jackson, Crofts, Foley, Konsa, Pearce and Fox .. Rudd was possibly out of position and at fault for their goal .. was good to see Fox and Pearce giving him a hug after we took the lead for the second time and he redeemed himself with a tremendous late save from Simeon Jackson .. good run outs for some of the youngsters and Bauer came on towards the end and looked pacey, fit and part of the pattern .. a good win as I wrote against a tricky and clever Walsall .. Ajose is off the mark, Magennis is a beast and the team looks like that .... A TEAM .. come on you Addicksssaaaa !!!!!
